FR they definitely should not let pregnant women wait! when I went for a meal with some friends someone actually went and asked if they would hurry up with the starter cause it was for her pregnant friend (me!) and they soon brought it out.

Aww Fidget, hopefully Weezl will be along to interpret your medical language - she seems so good at that sort of thing! Glad you're happy about your induction, but of course we'll keep our fingers crossed you go naturally before then to reduce hospital time! Big hugs...also, I found Caelan on some website when looking at the Irish names section...not sure what it means, I just like the sound!

Aww Fidget sorry it didn't go well this morning for you. Glad you have an earlyish date but can see why you don't want to go in and be in hospital for several days if you hate hospitals. Fingers crossed that you go naturally before then.

Have just rang to book with MW tomorrow see if I can get a sweep done then as not liking the whole hospital for ages on my own thing.

Oh I don't know if I mentioned this from my appointment at the physio a few weeks back which adds to my anti-hospital mindset. Just as I was entering the maternity annexe I saw a very rough looking woman who appeared to be in her late-fifties to early-sixties putting a cigarette out. She joined me as I got in the lift and then she grinned an extremely toothless grin at me and asked (well slurred) if I'd come to have my baby that day. She absolutely honked of fags and booze and put her head really close to me while she was talking. She then informed me that she had had a c-section that morning to have her baby:eek: All I could think was sweet Jaysus please don't tell me that you are of child-bearing age, what kind of condition is your baby in if you are pished already? and WHAT IF I get someone like you in the bed next to me after the exhaustion of giving birth or dare I say it in the early but painful stages of labour?!

Just something for you hospital birth ladies to think about :D
