Girls: Siobhan, Adele, Aine, Avaline, Siara, Roisin, Aislin(g)

(can you tell we really like Irish names?! :p)

  • Sorry no idea re sleeping bags.

Oh helen I hope things start for you soon - it has been very frustrating for you especially as things started happening so long ago now.

6 days till my EDD now. Hope something happens for me although can be another 2 weeks on top if I go to be induced. :( I have to say I am on raspberry leaf capsules, have had no pineapples, occasional sex (:D) and had a curry last night (same heat as usual)

I'm not Glam but I know that EPO is generally taken in pregnancy to soften the cervix to prepare for labour - but it's also quite commonly taken for PMS. So you could keep taking, but it's not strictly 'necessary' for pregnancy IYSIM?

RLT strengthens the uterus for both during & after labour and contains nutrients to help replenish you after labour. It's also known to reduce after-birth bleeding and help let down breastmilk (as well as contracting the uterus back to size), so deffo worth thinking about keeping up at least for immediately after birth. I'm not sure if a lot of people actually keep drinking it after the birth, but certainly it can't hurt!

Thanks Aless that helps a lot. Maybe I'll put a couple of Raspbery leaf capsules in my hospital bag.

Aless, we had Reuben and Flynn on our list too. Before we found out the sex,we knew 100% if it was a girl she would be Ruby Mae because my mum sadly passed away just a few weeks after her and my dad celebrated their Ruby wedding anniversary and my mums name was Margaret, so thats where the Mae came in but it wasn't to be. Untill we knew we were having a boy though we couldn't decide on a boy name, we had a long list and I liked Reuben as felt it was the male version of Ruby, but OH wasn't keen really. Anyway, I didn't try too hard to get him to like it as after saying it out loud for a few days it just didn't feel right, wouldn't stick. I really do believe you will just know when you come accross the right name for your child.
love my little man he is amazing :j
  • Well I am having a busy morning- first time felt awake and havent gone back to bed after OH want to work!! Have been cleaning the skirting boards - v v dusty they are! Done our bedroom and en-suite, dusted everything cleaned the windows, etc just need to hoover now. Need to sit down for a bit. Might see if my neighbour is about for a coffee.

helen - yeah, we've toyed around with possibly doing something (if it's a girl) in the name for my mom too, but I'm not sure it's something I'm really comfortable with (still undecided). But our plan is to have 3ish full names of each sex before we go to hospital and then decide when baby is born which one seems "right". We love too many names is our problem, whereas I know others have trouble finding even one! :D (I love the name Ruby, too...it's really pretty)
