jha - I really don't know how hospitals work, never having spent time in one (touch wood!), but isn't this the sort of situation the Patient Liaison Service helps with?? Might be worth giving them a visit.

Nicki - thanks - i have phoned the ward and explained the problem with his "good" arm (born with one broken arm / shoulder and both legs broken) fully and explained that i was disgusted that they were refusing to feed him - turns out they wernt aware of the extent of the problem as he hadnt told them that he couldnt feed himself  and when mum told them to feed him they thaught she was just fussing and that he was able to feed himself. They have said that they will telephone me to confim he has been fed tonight and to let me know how he is. Mum is popping back in this evening to check he is ok and i will try to get there tomorrow.

Have you been reading the articles in 'take a break', about how nurse care is going downhill now days?

Its disgusting that some nurses treat patients like that :(

Quick Question: Ages ago my old doctors said not to eat Pizza Hut buffet salad because of the risk of listeria.
Does that apply to the first 12 weeks? Or the whole pregnancy? Cause i really fancy a pizza hut lunch buffet at some point :D and its just not the same without the salad lol x

I'm glad it's sorted jha. Your poor dad, mind you, maybe not eating the hospital food is a blessing!
  • Ooh shiny new thread.

Congratulations JAM! Glad that you and your little girl are now home.

JHA- glad that you managed to talk to someone sensible about your Dad, hopefully he will get the care that he needs now.

I am officially finished at work for 10 months!!!!! Sneaked off a little early as I had nothing to do- got some more lovely baby clothes and a big baby basket from my colleagues which is lovely. Planning on going out for drinks tonight so might need to go for a nap now.

I have eaten them on a couple of occasions.... slap wrist. Trust your instincts, if it looks smells funny - don't eat it!!

Yay for finishing work GISI! I finish work in 11 or 12 weeks i think :)

My sister has just given me a thing she bought from RUSH hair salons, it was £40 and i get to go 3 times, first time for a cut and blow dry with a scalp massage and some extra bits, 2nd time for either a half head of highlights, full head colour or full head glossing with massage and extra bits, and 3rd time for a shampoo and blowdrymassage and extras :D

Just what a pregnant lady needs hehe :)
  • Ooh that sounds lovely EA. I'm getting my hair done tomorrow.

It just feels like I'm on holiday at the moment. I think it will probably sink in more next week!
