I hate shifts, but sunday should be good as its our quietest day and there are no managers in so we eat at our desks hehe.
Even though im allowed to anyway cause im pregnant, but still its fun lol.0 -

daytime telly is rubbish - even with the zillion channels on virgin DP pays for, hope I can find some energy soon to get off the settee - done some tiny amount of packing related stuff and am worn out! stupidly packed all the dvd's the other day too so am stuck with rubbish telly!0 -

Lol i just asked this question to some guys at work, i said
"if you give birth on the way to hospital in a car and then carry onto hospital with the baby in your arms, would you get pulled over for not having the baby in a carseat?"
And they were staying stuff like "well is it you driving the car, cuase possibly?"
Then OH said "well you cant drive so they would prob pull you over for not having a lisence" lol. :rotfl:
I think the serious answer is that you would stop the car and ambulance paramedics would come and cut cord and manage third stage
My head came out in a taxi cab cos dad wouldn't believe mum I was coming and wanted to finish watching the rugby.
I'm so glad I didn't marry a man like my father, love him!Weezl, not sure if you're still around but I've read in various places that cloth nappies are much bulkier than disposables and therefore vest extenders are needed. Is this true - should I get some? Ta!
I think they're bulkier when dry and about the same when fully wet, but we use prefolds. My friend who uses terry squares and nappi nippas finds vests and dungarees and jeans a bit tough for her daughter. But not for her other daughter who is slimmer. I think it depends on the weight of baby, type of reusable etc...
Sorry that's not very helpful is it :rotfl:
I'd say wait til baby comes, try them, and maybe use a larger vest for a little bit whilst you wait for some vest extenders?
Might save you forking out for them and not needing?
I'd never heard of them though, what a fab invention, off to google nowSarah_Joanne wrote: »I wash all our stuff in non-bio anyway cos I react to bio, however if I remember rightly I'll still have to wash baby stuff separately as you shouldn't use fabric softener on their clothes, is that right?
I'd only heard not to use softener with nappies cos it coats them in a slippery layer and the wee won't absorb. They put softener in the bounty packs don't they? That'd be a bit :mad: if you can't use it!
Does bio make your excema worse? Fergie has a patch on his cheek and I'm just wondering if I did his bedding in the wrong powder. That would explain a lot

That's sweet of your OH! And I'm only 5'3" so we must look pretty similar.kennyjosiah wrote: »Have you tried Filetti I bought it as my 2yr old daughter got terrible excema on her hands they looked like an old persons hands and swollen/itchy, I decided 2 change to non-bio to see if it helped, was in Home Bargains and picked up a bag of Filetti Non bio for only £2.99 jst to try and within the week of changing her hands had cleared up and now she has normal beautiful little hands, it really worked for us and cleans the clothes as any other powder, I use it for all the family washing
Never heard of it to be honest. I like some of the stuff, I've recorded Home Birth Diaries and some other baby shows on my sky+ and put them on series link so they all record automatically. I stick them on when I'm bored and want my baby fix!!

mgfb- hope you get an appointment with the epu today, I had slight bleeding at about 7 weeks and my gp got me booked in the same day.
Can't rememeber who was talking about seeing a gp instead of a midwife. I am 37 weeks now and have seen a midwife once (at hospital for booking in at same time as 12 week scan) all my other non-hospital appointments are with my gp. It does seem crazy the difference in care depending on where you live.#On the subject of box sets I am currently working my way through the complete collection of cold feet that I specifically bought for my ml!! Loving it but dh hates it with a passion so watch it when he is at work or goes to bed early.
Biding my time until hospital appointment today gonna have some spaghetti on toast in a minute, had it for dinner last night and it was soooo tasty have not stopped thinking about it since.Coming soon............
Brand new baby first showing in November!
Brand new baby boy (Matthew) born 3 weeks early weighing a diddly 5lb 4 oz!!0
