I have seen a lovely baby girl bundle on ebay hehe. It has 6 days left so im just watching it for now, and i think its collection only. So hopefully that will put some people off
I have to list loads of brand new baby boys clothes soon, they all have the tags on and are still on hangers lol. Someone gave them to us as her baby never wore them, and then we find out we're having a girl lol.
But she said if we dont need them then its ok to sell them lol. :money:0 -
That's strange you havr to have appointments with a dr instead of MW, I'm pretty sure I don't have to do that. It's funny how different the care is depending on where in the country you are.
Well I can't be bothered at work today. Been here for 90 minutes and not really done anything yet except eat and chat on here!! I have 2 wedding orders for Saturday so would much rather be at home starting on those. Oh well, at least I have tomorrow off.
Got some friends coming over for tea tonight too, got a whole duck I'm going to try and do aromatic crispy duck with! Hope I can get it right as never done it before!
Oh yeah, and slow cooker recipes for gymfriend and kindof! I've only had it a couple of weeks and only actually used it twice!! Made my soup, just chucked in leeks, potatoes, an onion, kale and 2 litres of veg stock before work then left it on all day then blended it and added salt and pepper, then the other thing I did was turkey casserole. Sliced onions and put them on the bottom, turkey joint on top (didn't bother browning it), then put chunky veg and potatoes round the outside, covered with chicken stock and left on all day!! When I went to eat it I put in a couple of table spoons of chicken gravy granules to thicken it up, and I made dumplings from a packet and added them.0 -
SJ - I didn't know I would have a GP appt until my last MW appt at 28 wks!! sorry should say morning to all
Big labour vibes and sticky vibes , welcome newbies
Softener on babys clothes .......
1 . why do the bounty packs give samples if not allowed ?
2. why do the huggies freebie at sainsburys give samples ?
3. why do the companies make baby soft softener ?
I have 3 kids i have always used non bio plus the comfort baby softener on there clothes , non of my children have skin complaints , all ok , i WILL be using softener on my babies clothes blankets sheets etc.
It makes me laugh how things change so much over the years i.e ..
weaning , .....when my 3 were weaned i weaned at 3 - 4 months ,, now they say to wait till 6 Months , i am sorry i will wean my baby when i find he is ready for it , wether it be 3 months or 6 months , he is my baby i will know when best,
Feeding .... HV tells you to wake baby up every 3 hours for a feed , i am sorry if my baby is sleeping he will wake when he is hungry then i will feed him , i will not disturb hes sleep to feed him .Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -
Thanks for that Aless, really interesting & not a lecture at all
I honestly would never have known any different had you not mentioned.

EA, have you thought about using a christening dress as you dd's bridesmaids dress? I think this one is rather nice - http://www.johnlewis.com/5410/Style.aspx although rather pricey. There are also plenty of suitable dresses on ebay too http://baby.shop.ebay.co.uk/Baby-Clothing-/14738/i.html?Clothing%2520Type=Dresses%7CChristening%2520Gowns&_dmpt=Baby_Clothing&_fln=1&_ssov=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282&Size=0%252D3%2520months&Colour=White at more affordable prices.
Also, have any of you ladies experienced moderate cramping when in bed. I get my worst cramping when i'm trying to relax in bed and wondered whether or not i should get this investigated further. If it were to be going on during the daytime then i would probably nip to my A+E but since this happens at the hours when my son is in bed then i don't bother (don't want to disturb him). It really feels like bad period pains but i'm unsure as to wether this is normal or not (ie only happening at periods of rest and not during daytime).Married since 28/04/2007
