Hi I think there are quite a few of us here after previous miscarriages. I had a missed miscarriage about 18 months ago. I'm 7 weeks 6 days now after a scan yesterday because of some bleeding, it was reassuring although I still worry about the next scan as with the missed miscarriage I measured 8 weeks when the baby stopped growing but should have been 11 weeks. I dont think there is anything i can say that will make you feel more confident about this pregnancy until after you have had the 12 week scan but just know you are not going through this alone xxx

    Thanks hun
I had some spotting this morning so D took me to a&e and I was scanned there.
Im actually only measuring at 5 weeks, and they showed me the egg sac and the yolk sac and where she thinks the pole is. Obv no heartbeat as yet, too early, even though ive seen it I still cant believe it until I see hearts beating.....

However she also found I have a cyst on my ovary and said I have endometriosis. after that noone really said anything more about it, so being me ive come home and google and i wish i hadnt.....

theyve recommended another scan in 1-2 weeks.....so im glad i know for definite that something is forming but im still apprehensive

Just sat down after sorting out all the baby clothes I've bought and been given - I thought I'd been restrained :o but completely covered our bed! Unfortunate thing about sitting down is that blasted grand prix is on (sorry fatty!) - how dare my son start wriggling to this, he's clearly inherited his father's annoying sport viewing habits! Either that or he's not appreciating the laptop resting on his bum, bad mummy!

Finished work on Friday lunchtime :jand had a lovely afternoon at the baby show with a pregnant colleague who's due in 3 weeks. Pleased I got free tickets tho as don't think it was worth the door price, unless you were planning on big purchases. It was brilliant to see all the different reusable nappies tho as there are so few in the shops and pretty much decided on bumgenius ones now - especially as a lovely person gave me a 20% off mothercare voucher the other day and I also discovered mothercare are on quidco and my local council offer £35 cash back for using reusables - should be able to get 20 nappies for about £170 :money:

Sending you anti boredom / labour vibes Jenny!

    Hiya everyone,

hope everybody is having a good day and hugs to princessp and anyone else who isn't.

Have been poorly most of today with stomach ache and horrible bloating so am stopping the iron tablets for a couple of days. Am hopingi don't go into labour until it's settled down now. Then I suppose at least if I go soon it'll be over. Only 2 days until due date now still no real signs.

    Has cheapskate been on?

I've read most of the thread but think I might bog off for tonight as am pretty hormonal and getting upset easily. X

gymfiend your not being unreasonable at all! If you can't go he shouldn't either.

Hugs to you CAFCGirl, seeing the heartbeat is the important thing so fingers crossed for your next scan.

Thanks for all the labour vibes, we did the deed (first time in about 20 weeks due to cervical erosion!!!!!) it was very nice but unfortunately still nothing happening although (TMI) I have done about 3 number 2's today - preparation  time for bouncing on the ball now I think.

What a nightmare PP, glad you managed to cancel the van without having to pay though :)

OH bought me some Phish Food & Cookie Dough, ate half the Phish Food already, whoops!!

Can you tell me if I'm being unreasonable please? OH just told me his family are going skiing in Jan, didn't state he was going too but quite obvious from the way he didn't say he wasn't that he wanted to. I said do what you want, if the baby arrives early then it'll be your loss. Now he's backtracking saying he isn't going to go etc, but making me feel bad like I'm stopping him?! Is it totally unreasonable to think that his going away & using the last of his holiday entitlement (i.e. no time off between now & then to decorate nursery) 5/6 weeks before baby is due, is not fair?

I would be pretty unhappy if my Dh was planning the same thing to be honest. You never know what's going to happen that late in the pregnancy and I certainly wouldn't want to be left on my own.

Plus ditto what others have said about him using his holidays to spend time with you getting ready for bubs, or to take when s/he arrives.

Ooh not long til your scn now. Bet you're excited! And EA and Kindof too!

Right, back off out now to go see someone else about cupcakes!! Can't be bothered really as I'm tired now but if they book it'll be worth it!

not sure if I wrote on here but after my scan the sonographer said I had a cyst on my right ovary - this is perfectly normal and goes at about 12 weeks - she says this is the ovary that the egg will have come from. I had the same lady that scanned me when I had my miscarriage, I dont think she recognised me but you dont forget the person giving you that kind of news. Do you have the date for the next scan yet or do they send it in the post?
She would have given me my 12 week scan date but their computers were down.

    hi CAFC,

hope things are good and take care, i dont think you would of been on here about 10 weeks ago , cysts are normal during pregnancy , i had one , but due to only having one tube and ovary was being monitored , the cyst i had was not a small one it was 8cm x 8cm x 4cm , unfortunately 5 weeks ago was rushed into hospital and had to have it drained as it was behind my uterus stuck on my bladder and bowels , if you search my name you can read up on wghat happened if you wish , it was a scary time for me and baby , BUT please bare in mind its very rare for anything to happen and you can have a normal pregnancy with cysts, i was just 1 of the unlucky ones .

good luck and take things easy , fingers crossed it will dissappear on its own

    HTH
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

Thanks ladies, reassured me I'm not a total orge :rotfl: Dragged myself out of my pit and went downstairs to sit with him, he reassured me he doesn't intend to go though he would of course like to, as he wouldn't risk not being there if something were to happen. Not sure if I overreacted or if he realised how mean he was being and quickly backtracked! Either way, we're agreed he won't be going :o & I feel a bit mean & have promised we can go in a couple of years when baby is old enough :D

Really dangerous being ill and in bed all day - not only have I eaten a white chocolate magnum, half a tub of B&J's, a bowl of rice pudding and a rolo yoghurt, I've also spent the majority of the day looking at things I don't need, whoops! Really tempted to order these, they've got lots of good reviews & are so cute I'm not sure I can resist :p
