MW: Oh don't worry that happens all the time it's fine, you're doing great!
me(in pathetic little girl's voice): but it landed on my foot! :rotfl:
I remember asking u what the sieve was for!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Jennyfleur - I'm sorry about your loss. I have no advice, but big hugs:grouphug:
Weezl - Poo on foot! :rotfl:
Gymfriend - I had a water birth first time around and the hospital asked that I brought a sieve with me so they could "fish it out" if I did a poo!
I've just been confirmed with swine fluFlu line were a bit of a pain as I did an online assessment yesterday and then rang today. Apparently they couldn't give me a number for antivirals as I had done the online assessment and that should of gave me a number- but I didn't see it. pg brain poss?
Rang my duty doc who is officially lovely! She has perscribed the anti-virals and was insisted I called her immediately if I felt at all worse. So OH is going to pick up perscription after work. Best ring work and let them know I guess - anyone know how long it takes to recover? want to avoid impact on sickness record:rolleyes:Back on the MFW Wagon!

Think your meant to be off for 5-7 days wildfrog, and then longer if you develop complications. They usually give you a leaflet with the anti-virals

Weezl you did make me laugh :rotfl:
I had a poo during labour tooI didn't realise at the time as I'd had an epidural but OH had great pleasure in telling me about it later! He said the midwife got rid of it before I'd even realised, bless her.
Just got a call from the EPU, scan is definitely going to be Mondayit's going to be a long weeked! Appointment is at 11.50. I'm going to take it very easy and try to stay positive. Hope everyone has great weekends, will be popping in & out to catch up with you all xx

Thanks for your thoughts on bowel issues guys! Going to try taking the pregnacare later in the day and see if that helps.
Does anybody have any experience of taking part in pregnancy studies? With my appointment for 12 week scan I recieved a letter asking if I would take part in a study that is being done by University of Cambridge. It is to identify new tests to predict which women will have complicated pregnancies. I would get 2 extra scans at 28 and 36 weeks and extra measurements would be taken at 20 weeks. They also take a swab from DH and then samples of placenta and cord blood after the birth. The main downside I can see at the mo is that I would have to have extra blood tests.
Any thoughts of experiences?

I think it's probably pretty common, the midwives see it all the time so they won;t be bothered, the women will prob be in too much pain to care, it's only the OH's that will be bothered!
Hope you can take it easy this weekend. I had a similar thing, bleeding at the end of the week and had to wait over the weekend for the scan and it is hard but just try to think positive and not worry. I was ok and I think bleeding is quite common so chin up!!!0 -

I got a letter in with my notes at first appointment but was never actually asked to participate though. I would have done if I'd been offered as it would have been extra info on bubs for us and the possibility of spotting any problems sooner rather than later, and hopefully useful research for other mums in the future.0 -

Thanks SJ, that's very reassuring. I'm looking forward to loads of good TV this weekend - Strictly, X-Factor, Harry Hill, Have I Got News for You, and a new series of Armstrong & Miller, who I love (and think are quite dishy)
Oh, and welcome from me too Wildfrog xx0
