Hi all, hope everyone is well.
Bit off a mad day today mum and dad are taking it bad and i spent most of the day trying to calm them and explain she was not herself and they were not to blame. But they are in the what if stages just now.
What if i had been there
What if i realized she was up and not in bed
What if their was something we could have seen etc
Hard to watch as a mother i understand the devastation of a child being helpless.

We were back and forth to the hospital as she deteriorated at one point then had to have emergency scans etc but she is still holding on. Every hour gives us hope she gets stronger.

EA hope your sis gets out her room soon.
We have no idea about names:eek:
Will try to bf again but don't hold out much hope as i was left in agony last time but may try to express as much as possible and top up with formula.
    Welcome to the newbies.
Vibes to everyone that needs them(i believe they work now lol)

Need to catch up on house work things have when to pot in my absence, makes me shudder at the thought off a hospital stay to have the baby!

Hope eveyone has a good day. vibes to all

Evening all! Well just got back from the hospital birth centre tour - yay! Was lovely though a massive group touring. Glad we got to see everything, as I know sometimes people said they didn't get to see such-and-such room b/c someone was in labour. We got to see the birth pool which was my main thing as I'm about 99% sure I want a water birth.

I don't know why but I'm really really paranoid that I'm going to wind up with a breech baby and not get the birth I want...my 32 week appt is with the GP so I'm also scared they won't know what they're doing as much and not be able to feel baby's position properly so won't get a proper feel until 36 wk MW appt when it might be getting a bit late to try and turn baby?? I don't know why this is such a fear with me; I know you can have a breech baby vaginally still but the hospital will still make you go on the consultant-led ward to do so which is NOT what I want. I'm sure I'm just worrying for nothing and everything will be fine.

Sorry am so wordy - hope everyone else is doing well!

Aww I am pleased it went well, have you discussed a water birth with your MW yet? just I am really thinking about a water birth but I dont know when I am meant to discuss

I am sure you will be fine :) I think its normal to worry xxx

EA - I was getting Crampy pains as well so I am pleased you are (not cos I am evil lol) cos then it reassures me that its normal lol

Gemma - I think I will pass on the naked army lol

Beenie - thats really good, cos changin bags are insane!!! LOL aww bless you lol, is it not time?

Gymfiend - Aww god thats insane!!!! 6 weeks! why they striking???? You and OH sound just like me and OH, we cannot be apart! I just checked my argos for you (could have posted it down to you) and they are out of stock here too :(

Somnium - Thanks :) We are keeping Christmas to a minimum as well :)

Awww Gymfiend - we have same boys name lol Elliot (but we spell it different)

Fidget - I'd never thought about that cos I pee with the light off but near the end I am giong to have to put the light on arent I?

Som - They are lovely names :)

Lou - Sorry about the car :(

Beenie - They look the same to me lol

morning all. Had my first night in the spare room last night :( feel better for it cause DH said he had a decent night sleep. Mine was the same - tossing and turning to find a comfortable position, moving pillows all over the place, geting up to go to the toilet and being wide awake up at 5am! Which you can understand doesn't help DH when he is trying to sleep :)

Right off to catch up cause I went into work yesterday so didn't get a chance to see what was happening. no more work for me now :D

    Morning ladies,

Jennynoo Natalie Erin is lovely - hope you don't think I'm being rude but have you considered Natalia Erin? I think it sits really nicely :)

*hugs* 32b - hope your sister continues to get better today.

Karen glad your DH had a nice nights sleep at least!

Kindof - no idea really on the list front, we tried to come up with one the other day so we could start working on it, got this so far:
    Cot
    Drawers/Changing table
    Pram
    Car Seat & base
    Moses Basket & stand
    Steriliser & bottles
    Playmat
    Chair/swing

    On the small list:
    Nappies
    Bibs
    Formula
    Wipes
    Muslins

Now, that's all we could think of, and I'm fairly sure at least a million things are missing!!!

OH promised to call me before he got on the plane but hasn't so now I'm in full on panic and will be til he lands and texts me. I reckon it's cos he's with the UK head of his company (mega important guy) and he's probably busy, but still, I'm a bit worried :( Lots of safe flight vibes please :)

Still in bed - how lazy am I. Planning to get up soon and go do some jobs, might get a Greggs cheese & onion pasty for lunch after all of yesterdays talk!! Then got a friend coming for dinner tonight so really ought to pick up something to feed her, not sure what though.

I had a list that was two columns long on A4! but it included every item we might need including things for me. Other things you might need are nappy sacs, sling, muslins, sheets, cellular blankets, baby hair brush, thermometer, sun shades for car and baby bath.

Morning ladies, well I wanted a lie in cos not been sleeping too well atm ( am too hot if you can believe it!), no chance as the damn gardners were around again grrr.

Jenny - I like Natalie, its my best mates name and everyone else I know with it has always been nice, so that helps. The name I like Tahlie, is really a derivative of the end bit of Na(talie), some one we (me and OH) used to work with was called it for short as we had 3 Natalies there, Nat, natalie and talie hehe. Erin is also really nice. Did we decide where we are going after aqua on thursday? Oh and the Dazzle is a really nice PC, put personally I hate the feel of the handles, can't imagine them being comfy. Altho they are curved, they are quite square if that makes any sense!

Kindof - Muslins(lots of), Nappies, Car seat, Bedding/Sleeping bag, baby grows/vests/sleepsuits, baby bath/support, cotton wool, monitor, thats just off the top of my head.

Beenie - really want to slap your ex for you he is such a waste of space.

Well gotta sit around amd wait for a parcel to be deliverd, pair of mat jeans for me and shoes for OH. The dog also has his yearly booster, this afternoon so should be fun as he isn't a fan of the vets.

Another thing to add to the list...bouncer chair. I've heard from loads of people that these are a godsend as is sometimes only thing that placates crying baby? We got ours for £5 at a boot sale so not like they're expensive!

kindof - well it doesn't really seem to matter if you plan on having a waterbirth in advance or not, as the hospital does the pools on a first-come-first-served basis so you could honestly decide there and then that you wanted one. Also the MW doesn't go through birth plan until 36 weeks so until then they tend to not answer too many questions about that sort of thing. I just read a lot and inform myself - there's not really too much to 'know' except I learned last night that once you've had the baby they take you out of the pool and put you on a bunch of mats in the corner to deliver the placenta! Dunno why, but found that funny.

Beenie - funny you should ask about what happens if you don't name baby. This was in the US but my sister's fiance has a little boy (from an ex) that was named by a judge! Basically there was custody issues from birth & it was very messy between him & the mom. Well basically it all went to court and since it was all crazy they couldn't of course agree on a name...well when the judge awarded him custody he also just a bit randomly picked a name for the baby!! I think it was one of the ones they had debated on, but still...crazy stuff.
