It's all right beeniecat we don't care what other people think of it. She is a confident, gorgeous girly, and will get on great in life whatever her name is. When you have/ give your child an unusual name you soon get used to the 'looks' when you tell people their name, it goes right over my head tbh! Oh and with me at 5'8 and my husband at 6'2 I don't think she will be a shorty, but she could be the black sheep :D not that I can see why that would make a difference? (sorry prob just being dumb, but I don't get it! Lol!)

Somn- we chose it because I wanted a nature or faery name, and Loved the way it sounded but didn't like the spelling "Elfin" as much as with a 'y'. When she was born she had pointy ears, and almond eyes, and looked like a little Elf, so over our other names we picked that one. Her middle names are Aster (as in the star shaped flower) and Tilly (short version of Matilda) She had to have 2 middle names as if she were a boy DH has a family tradition where by they have fathers name then Lewis as their middle names. As we knew we wanted more children we wanted them all to have an equal amount of names, I know it's a bit silly! :D

Oooh thanks jha i didn't spot that earlier at all, after much squinting hehe.

Well it looks like the Argos one is a teeny smaller, though i agree a bit wrong!! But maybe the 4cm in length will make all the diff in my tiny car hehe.

fernlie, i have a 'different; name too and hated it when i was little so i think it makes me more anal when thinking of possible mockery in names :o I got the pee took big time which hurts when you're young! It rhymes with queer

Having said that, love it now that i'm older.

I won't be naming my child this time round (she'll be nameless), cos i keep overthinking everything and talking myself out of all the names. (seriously, ALL the names, in the world. ever.)

edit - if i didn't name her, what would actually happen, would they just assign a name to her? lmao

Oooh jha thank you for investigating :D

That's weird though, you'd think all this info would be on the box and measured by the manufacturers. So it looks like the Mothercare one is the wrongest, lol.

I've sent a txt to the ex asking him to send me the money for the Argos one. (He tried to insist he paid for it himself, til i said it's not available for delivery & u can't pay online if u pick it up) Seriously, what does he think i'm gonna do, just not buy the pushchair but keep his money? And that would benefit me how? Bloody moron

He earned £300 last week alone but somehow has had his mobile cut off and i have to wait for the pushchair money (he's living with his mother and no bills !!!!!!!!).

He seems to think i'm raking it in though, questioning why i haven't yet bought the cot (i'm not working at the mo!!). So obviously, i questioned why HE hasn't yet bought the cot! I think getting any money out of him is going to prove rather tricky, cos clearly if we're not together baby needs less stuff, didn't you all know this??!

You girls talk too much! I was busy at work today and it's taken me ages to catch up, so long that I've forgotten everything I was going to say. One thing I will say is that if you are breastfeeding you will need to eat even more than when you are pregnant so it will be none stop chat with you lot about food on the parenting thread!! LOL Hope everyone is sleeping well tonight, two more days left at work for me :)

Oh, I was going to ask, has anyone any experience of the Silver Cross Dazzle? Currently on our list of prams as I can get my sisters carry cot to go with it and save myself £75. Also any views on the name Natalie Erin?
