Scots girls - Just doing a bit more catching up and agree with gymfend, the Bee is great for small cars and you dont have to comprimise on anything, altho they are a tad more expensive there no where near as pricey as a cameleon! But agree with deffinatley going along to a local store and trying them inyour car, you'll be suprised sometimes you can get in more than you think, maybe have a look at some stroller types too.Hope that helps xx

Glam - Think I mentioned on here before that I'm in love with the Joey slings, was gonna rent before buying but at that price am so tempted. Gonna speak to OH tonight :D Which design have you gone for and have you got it yet? What do you think?

I was gonna say earlier but forgot, if its a cot bed too it'll last a long time, DS is still in the one we bought for dd and he is 3, I wouldnt even think about taking him out of it if it wasnt for the new baby and so they are gonna need bunk beds, obviously ds has to go on the bottom. Cotbed used for the baby as well nothing wrong with it but i do wish i'd bought a nicer one now looking back as its just a basic pine model, from start to finish we will have probably used it for over 10 years.

Better go take the kids to school before they are late lol

    Morning ladies
Beenie - hope you're feeling better this morning!
Labour vibes to those who've suddenly gone quiet! :D
Cough/cold thing I've had for over a week kept me awake most of night again - cough is horrendous. This poor baby's going to be stone deaf & shaken to bits by all the coughing!
Toddler STILL asleep after a late night (2030) yesterday, so have had a lovely breakfast of poached egg on slice of wholemeal toast & a big glass of M&S pressed apple juice - feel nearly human again now! :rotfl:
Going to make some more preserves of some sort today/Sat using rosehips from garden & some apples from a friend's allotment - bit of a 'Good Life' thing going on in this house lol!
Quite cold here so washing won't dry, so it's going in dryer, not very MSE but I'm desperate to keep up with laundry, just in case. :D
Sis coming over before lunch, so will pop back & see you all later.
Hugs, kisses, labour vibes, etc girls!
    A xo

  • Good morning ladies. Have a doctors appointment this morning regarding rather painful stomach cramps and what medication i can take for headaches (which i seem to be having daily).

Want to be extra cautious with this pregnancy as i had a very difficult pregnancy with my DS and had 2 previous miscarriages (1st trimester) before i fell pregnant with my DS.
    Married since 28/04/2007

Mummy to DS born 16/04/2008 and DD born 04/06/2010

Argh hi all, any tips on how to keep water down? I drink water, it goes into stomach, turns itself into paint stripper style acid, then dutifully comes back up.

Had to ring sister to come and get DS and take him to school. They've only just gone so will be really late :o
  • Morning all, Beenie hope u start to feel better today. I had to get up about midnight to get some Gaviscon and I had some milk too but mine wore off. Sounds like u have got it really bad :(

GISI - When I had my 16 week bloods I said "yay thats it for blood" and the mw said "erm no we take some off you near the end" boo lol

EA - DID you get an appointment with MW? I had to make all mine myself at the drs surgery

Elasti - I am sorry your shopping day with your mam didnt go to plan :(

EA - We had to change the radio to Radio 1 or Galaxy (which is Dance and RnB) cos its loud so it wakes us up, we used to have it on classical but we sleep through that lol

Gill - my asda has a mcdonalds as well sooooo bad lol

Always - more dodgy hugs coming your way :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

EA - When my contract runs out me and OH are going to go PAYG then we can spend £20 a month instead of £60

Karen - hmmm yeah dont like that lol

redstar - I cant see your pic from work but I will check it out when I get home

Scotsgirl - 4 of my workmates had guessed by the time my 12 week scan came and I told them lol

EA - Spot on! It took ages to get to 12 weeks, now I can believe I will be 19 weeks on mondya!!
I have that problem, I want OH just to drive us in our bravo, but he for some reason wants his dad, and I am like no way am I geting into the VOLVO with LEATHER seats whilst in labour!

Gymfiend - I was the same as you, I was sick once, I felt sick a lot but I wasnt sick so I was convinced there was going to be nothing there at the scan lol so when we saw babybean I was all like "awwwwww" lol

I saw someone make enchilldas on TV now I want to, I need to google a reciep

EA - We had ours and then we filled it in and sent it back then we got another one which I ignored :( Aless will I get wrong? I did send the first one back?

Hmmms I think the Bravo has a big boot, but now I am unsure lol how will I know if pram fits before I buy pram

JHA - I predict you are having a girl now cos you said your heartbeat sounds like a galloping horse :) thats what the old wives tales says, wheres if its a train its a boy

Beenie - the scary thing is someone is bidding on it!!! I would like that pram but am waiting to see if I am team pink cos I think its girly lol

GISI - Yes I have, I heard 140 and less is boy, and 140 and above is girl (HMMM I just saw Helen's post which blows that out the water lol)

Beenie - Poor you :( I woke up at 4.30am this morning with killer heartburn I thought I was going to be sick but I wasnt :(

I want a wood cot bed from Ikea, with the mattress, the matching wardrobe and matching chest of drawers with a matching wooden changer on the top, the whole set comes to £350

I have had cramps the last two days, which has worried me, but then at the same time I am having trouble going to the loo for a number 2 :o when I do go its just wind, does anyone have any tips? are the cramps normal? I'm not bleeding or anything?

ARGH I ordered my mam the twilight books for christmas, the hardback set, and I thought I had changed my address on amazon but I bloody havent, so they are on their way to mam's house now (its ok she knows she is getting them) but it makes it a pain in the !!!! to organise re-delivery cos she is at work, and if its not royal mail (which I dont think it is) then its so hard to re-arrange, if it is royal mail then it will be ok cos she can get them from depot for me on monday

just a quickie before I stuck into doing more tedious handover at work - thank you everyone for all the hugs yesterday after I posted about my scan. Went straight from work to aquanatal and then home and pretty much straight to bed - stress has a tendency to either make me fall asleep at the drop of a hat or have hours of insomnia, fortunately last night was the former. DP is desperately trying to swap shifts to come to the next scan in 2 weeks so keeping my fingers crossed - think I might start packing a hospital bag this weekend! Along with packing for the move which still could be an October completion.

Anyone any advice for a PAYG mobile operator for my dad that is not T mobile. Sent them an email last night saying their customer service and website was a joke and unless they sorted out the problem i would go else where. it had a section how would you like to be contacted i requested email but nooooooooo they had to call dad wake him up then start talking about online accounts and internet access and usernames. May as well have spoke to him in Japanese lol

So i need 2 things mainly, cheap calls to other networks and easy to use. don't need a phone just a sim. will want to transfer his number for him though. Free cals would be nice don't need texts as he cant work them lol

    Morning,

:grouphug: Beenie, sorry you're feeling rubbish xx

Merfe - glad you had a good nights sleep :) You sound like me, I've been in bed by half 9 almost all week

SJ hope you're back on form today? Though I also hope you take another day off, no point going back to work on a Friday :D

The cot you were all looking at last night is gorgeous, it looks a really nice quality too. And SJ, if the MIL is paying...I don't think it's a bad buy :D OH's dad is buying our pushchair, though he did specify that if we want the Bugaboo we'll have to put in some of our own money! Anyway, that leaves buying furniture to us as nobody else is willing to pay :rotfl:Really love Somnium's cot but don't want to buy the one on eBay and end up unable to get the matching dresser/drawers, so think we're gonna go with this - looks quite nice in real life :) I'd prefer a cotbed but like that set the best, plus if we move as planned hopefully bubs will have a bigger bedroom when only a few months old so we'll buy new bigger furniture to fit the room then :D I'd love one of these for a little girl :) Can you tell OH doesn't talk about these things with me? I'm starved of girly furniture/nursery talk!!

Eek just spent half an hour on here and looking at furniture, whoops, gotta get up and ready, meant to be in town by 9 to meet with someone I used to do a bit of work for, may be more work for me fingers crossed :D

    Catch up soon ladies, xxx

Thanks I'm feeling ok-ish today. Not right yet but I've taken the day off work again so hopefully another duvet day will help! Meeting a friend for lunch tomorrow and I haven't seen her in years so really hope I'm ok for that.

That cot and bed are really nice, really nice and fresh looking IYSWIM.

Hope you get the extra work today!
