Just had a visit from mum she wanted to see my ebay stuff. she couldn't believe the amount of nappies and wraps i've got. She loved all the clothes and shares my view that theirs no point spending hundreds on first sizes as they grow so quick. Can't wait on the last bundle as it has a cute little jacket in it.

DS is not well and has been asleep for about an hour thought he was just after the day off this morning when he said he was hot, bad mummy.

On the subject of meeting our OH's we were both going out with other people and had a friend in common, he dumped his GF after meeting me and told my friend i was amazing one ina million and sloppy carp like that. Then me and BF started having probs and i told friend i was going to end it and she said i have a rebound guy for you......So me and OH met and dated, started finishing each others sentences etc (barf lol)Then i found out i was pregnant and nearly 13 years later we are still together and i still finish his sentances but only because it takes him to long to say them now lol

  • Hi everyone, just in the middle of catching up so will be back shortly. Hope you are all well.

Just wanted to ask a quick question, last night I had a proper amount of leaking from my bbs!! I was led in bed watching tv and looked at my top and it had 2 x 2p piece wet patches, then by this morning there was even more!! Is this normal, I am 34+2. Glad it seems to only be happening at night, I have put some pads in my bag incase it does happen during the day, is this likely?!

fatybooboo I think it's pretty common, some of the pregnancy books say it can happen as your body changes and starts to make the colostrum(sp?) for babies first days. Or something to that affect lol. Don't panic it dose not mean labor is on it's way.lol

  • Weezl- good question! No I wasn't told that it was less safe, in fact the MW that did my ante-natal classes was very pro-HB. I guess it's just a fear of the unknown and ultimately I would feel safer in hospital. Once I know what to expect a bit more though I'll definitely consider a HB next time.

Jillie- that is a lot of nappies!

My busy day of going for a picnic and then cooking spag bol was obviously too much for me as I am nackered and can't be bothered to do anything but sit in my glider and watch Sky+'d Masterchef!

awwww so cute to hear about everyone's OH/DHs. We also met online, but embarrassingly through his ad on Gumtree (he did it for a dare and didn't expect it to work) - so went on a date and as they say the rest was history. He proposed after only 3 months (crazy, I know) and we've been married since last June.

feel a bit grotty as just ate a ready pizza from Sainsburys :o and now totally stuffed. Just waiting for DH to get home and then we can go pick up the Moses basket I won for a bargain off eBay! :T

Awww lovely story as well Lou

weezl - lou was a dental nurse before becoming a practice manager, I think! It was in our discussion of professions the other day :D

3 - I'm always contemplating going to bed this time of night. SO not a night owl - just been so tired lately! GISI, fwiw I have similar reasons for not having a HB (wasn't trying to be confrontational in questions to the hospital-haters, promise!) and also DH is rather firmly against it just because I think he's scared (though this wouldn't stop me if I really wanted one). I think once I have one baby 'out of the way' so to speak and know what to expect I'd be prolly quite happy to do any more from the comforts of my own home!

would like to win a holiday, please!!
