Stealing an idea from the parent thread :D
Does anyone want to join me in a mini "secret santa" type thing for this christmas?
Say For anyone who wants to do it and is added to the pregnancy edd list by Nov 1st, with a maximum of £5 spend including postage and packaging. Pairing users by order of joining the SS. I am more than happy to manage the list or someone else can do it if they would like. Dosent matter if you are giving birth before chritmas as long as you are on the edd list between today and Nov 1st? All done by PM so we dont clog up the thread or break rules? Would be nice to get something for us mums to be rather than baby stuff?
Just an idea:D0 -
Morning all girls and bumps - I'm still here
Was an interesting night last night though: I knew that you could have a show, but I don't think anyone told me how much there could actually beNot what you expect at 3am! Also was getting some tummy pains but think that was just trapped wind :rotfl:
So bubs and I are still sitting here: I do think we will probably be going in on monday for the induction but so hoping this means the prostaglandins will work rather than having to get the oxytocin drip. But you never know - she could surprise me - must carry a towel about in the car with me today
csh - labour vibes heading your way honey!0 -
Merfe - i am on a ban due to bleeding early on - some ladies just get a bit of spotting afterwards - its worth checking with your GP or midwife whether they wish you to "abstain". Its been 6 mths for me - roll on week 35 and Glam's eviction plan:whistle::kisses2:
Nicky - yay on your scan - piccies please:D
Yay for squishy:D
Labour vibes for csh and anyone else that wants them
Morning gisi - i am doing the 15 min plan again today - joining me?0 -
Good idea jha, put me on the list, most people buy for the kids and i don't get anything and OH is useless and i usually end up with something from the 24hr garage lol
Need a rocket up my bum, I'm meant to be picking up the baby changer but need to have a shower! Sort something for the kids as the unit is built up and wont fit in boot so i need the back seat. Could go alone but don't like driving and reading a map and my memory is not up to remembering the directions off hand. hmmm decisions.
Glad the scan went well Nikki.
Multiplying the vibes for you squishy sounds very promising.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

32b - My Fur Baby is generally very good but occasionally takes a dislike to to certain dogs. Mainly those off leads who get all under him and sniff where they shouldn't, then when he snaps at them the owners get all arsey with us! Uh hello your the one with the dog off the lead, and its un realistic IMO to expect every dog to get on with everyother dog (especially males), and especially when they feel protective of their pg owner (accordin to OH H is much worse if Im there!). Anyhoo thats just what gets up my nose and I dont have a dangerous dog, but again, IMO opinion any dog has the potential to be dangerous! Sorry rant over, it didnt mean to be jus wanted to sympathise with you 32b.
Right off to put the slow cooker on, am making a turkey stew type thing today lol. Supposed to be getting our cot today, hope its all there and ok, its a dicontinued line so wont be able to exchange it if notAnd I really love it, not to mention it was an uber bargain.
Squishy & csh - cant believe you ladies are still with us, yet more huge fat labour vibes for you today then.
Jenny - hope your LO doesnt keep you waiting too long.
Nickynoo - yoeay for your scan and getting you EDD, good guess from you.
Love all the stories of how you guys met your OH's, my OH was originally one of my staff when we first met. We only really got together when I transfered locations, which I typically thought would put and end to what lil of a relationship we had. It worked in our favour though, and a month later he moved in with me and that was 7 years agoBaby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Hi, I'm still here! No news today from me. Feeling a bit flucked off today, especially reading about Glam and jack, thats him 4 wks now and I'm still waiting and was due 2 days after her!
The lack of sleep is really getting to me now and the extra weight is really taking its toll on my knees lately. Moan moan moan lol
Got my bed frame off freecycle today, its the KS Malm one from Ikea which matches our bedroom furniture and in great condition so well chuffed. Have had to put it in the attic tho until we can afford a mattress.
Anyone have an Ikea bed? Will I need an Ikea mattress or will a standard one fit??
Me and OH met in the local pub and I chased him about til he gave in lol We've been together about 7 yrs, no money for a wedding tho after we spent 8k on a new kitchen!!!!
Hope something is happening for Squishy!!
We have a Ikea bed and I think you need their mattress as the bed frame is slighty larger than a UK one

Morning gisi - i am doing the 15 min plan again today - joining me?
Thanks for the offer jha! I'm not sure my back can stand that much housework but I have been uber-productive since my earlier post.
I am now showered, dressed (and quite respectably too), I've switched our gas and electric as our deal has run out. That saved £15 a month plus £40 cashback, I've arranged a loan re-payment holiday for next month which means an extra £400 in the baby fund, hoovered the bathroom and filed a load of paperwork!
This afternoon's tasks include more filing and some eBay photo-ing I think. Just having a 'free' lunch of leftovers. I did want to go into town, but to be honest I'd only spend money I don't have.
Kindof- sorry the bank weren't helpful. What happened? I'll join you in the eBaying though- we have equal needs for more pennies and less clutter!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
GISI they refused us a loan repayment holiday for this month as we had overdraft fees on our account.
My argument was that the overdraft fees were charged in error as we had fraud on our account when we came back from holiday, they gave us our money back and also reimbursed us the charges (£200)
So we were arguing that its unfair we cant get a loan repayment holiday just because of the overdraft fees that werent even ours!!
So the plan today was (which was thought up by the loan guy when OH was in with him on thursday) take out another loan to cover the loan we have and add £1500 on to wipe the overdraft and get babybeans furnitrure, then we would choose the option get the loan now and not pay for 3 months therefore giving us a 3 month repayment holiday
But it didnt work, the computer didnt like that idea either!!
So I am !!!!ed off with the bank lolDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Oh, that sucks Kindof!
I was refused a repayment holiday last year when I changed jobs, so effectively missed out on a month's wages and they said no. No reason for it- never had any defaults on any of our accounts. Thought I'd give it another go today, and it was a yes, even though I now earn £10k less than I did last year......who knows how it works?!
I think I used up all my motivation earlier today. My back is really sore now so I'm just resting on the sofa. Think I might switch our home insurance in a minute to save a few more pennies and get some cashback. I might venture out and pick up a Sun too as there is a £5 off £30 spend at Waitrose today.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
