If you are happier being at home (and therefore more relaxed) then if you have any issues bf the community midwife will come out and help... they come out every day for the first 10 days (although mine came out every few days)
I ended up having to call them out on day 8 (Sunday) as I was having problems (and I bf all the others :rotfl: so I really should have been able to remember all the tricks:rolleyes:)
I think it may be the case that it is easier for them if you are in the hospital - so if you want to go home then tell them... but there is nothing wrong in staying in hospital if you want the support there x
yipee for squishy - :rotfl:@ "making plans"0 -
Beenie- you mention you horrid noisy neighbours on a few posts.. do you own your flat.. if you pay maintenance/Ground rent etc.. I'd have a moan to landlords with records if you keep them, i fnot what do the council do..? Noisy neighbours is hellish... ive been there x
The other side, my perfectly silent, favourite neighbour sadly passed away, so now they've moved in some freaks who are related to above bint  (great, sandwiched between family:mad:)
They've only just moved in, in fact i think they're just here in the days to decorate, so i didn't want to start off by moaning about the noise but it's still peeing me off soooooooo much. I am fine with general noise, i could even cope with the excessive drilling as they've just moved in, but the wall vibrating music is making me cry
But then again, i shouldn't really be in bed at 11am should i :rotfl:0 -
Ah pregnancy brain is the worst, i already had a bad memory but its getting worse for me lol.
For the past 2 weeks i've been organsiing lunch with my friend, constantly saying "i'll see you saturday"
Someone at work ask's if im free saturday to cover a shift and i say "yeah i am, free all day"
5 hours later i remembered and had to text him to say i couldn't do it, but it didn't matter as he had someone else to do it anyway lol.
Calm down beenie, deep breaths
In my old flat we had people always drilling, like pretty much every week!
I know how you feel (like you want to shove the drill where the sun doesn't shine lol)

Hi all
Beenie - I agree witn nanc - can you not complain to someone? Looking forward to the nights your LO can keep them up though. Seriously thought, do some people have no respect!
Good luck quishy - here's to hoping you'll be soon on your way
I am on top of my little world today - feeling really good and positive still. Few cramping pains this morning which have now gone. I have done my weeks spends and have the cash so not going over. Feel rather pleased :T
Can't wait to have the weekend with the family - not long til work's finished for the day/weekend YEY.
OMG I was in the hairdressers the other day and told me friend the HD about finding out I was Pg - well I nonly whispered it but 10 mins later another lass who is just plain nosy comes running up shouting " So I overheard you saying your pregnant - is that right" and EVERYONE in the shop stopped to look and my and my tummy. I went bright purple and said, well yes but it's not suppopsed to be broadcast to the world LOL. I mean I know I shouldn't have said anything to anyone if I don't want people knowing but still, some people have very little tact! Gave my OH a laught for the day - he said well it's a good thing so lets ge tthe news out there. :rotfl:

That is precisely why we havent told anyone not even our parents til weve had the 'all-clear' at the 1st scan oh and it might have something to do with putting the mockers on thingsOpinions are like ar*eholes - everybody has one!!!!0 -
That reminds me, haven't told you's whats happening with my nightmare neighbors since the weekend have I?
Well after the parties a few weeks ago the ones that lasted all weekend we reported it to the housing officer again and he was given a final warning(AGAIN). When he finally showed up that is took 3 appointments to get him to the office:mad:. so we had a few weeks of acceptable music and visitors which usually quietened down about 11pm was not happy with that during the week with the kids but better than all night etc like the holidays were.
Then at the weekend their we ended up calling the noise department and OH recorded them singing and all the commotions caused when people came and left the parties up until 3 am. So he went to the housing again explained what was happening and she tried to fob him off implying we were exaggerating the problem. so OH hit play and the color drained from her face lol. She has contacted her boss to update on the situation and he apparently is going for eviction as the noise is only part of the problem with them. surrounding flats have complained and the police have submitted reports about them too.
Just hope that we don't end up with someone that is worse moving in:rolleyes:[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

Going to set 15 min timer on my watch..........now.........wish me luck.......I'm going in! x0

I'm not really one to talk since I'm not having one, but if you don't like hospitals so much, perhaps consider a HB for subsequent babies? DH hates hospitals too, so I understand 'cause I have to put up with his moaning every time he goes to one (which is ironic b/c he's been in hospital a few times whereas I never have & they don't both me!).
Beenie, do earplugs not help? They really are a lifesaver for me when noise stops me from sleeping. Also, my dad swears by his white noise machine (of which I am determined to get one when have some dosh). Is your DS's room a bit quieter - maybe a kip on his bed?
At my hospital you can apparently stay for up to 24 hrs in the birth centre but they really do encourage you to go home ASAP (postnatal ward is only for women that had medical intervention during birth). I want to stay long enough to make sure BF seems to be going okay but otherwise I can imagine all I will want is to be home in my own bed!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!
