Good luck fidget, you made me laugh.
Well i'm just about to go get my nappies and start washing them. Was talking to Mum this morning and had a brain wave. If i was to wash them now and put them in the cupboard etc i would want to wash them again when bubs arrives so i looked out my vac bags and i'm going to put them into them. That way they can be sealed ready for use on my new changer that i've to collect tomorrow with no worry of dirt or dog hair getting on them.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

I'm not really one to talk since I'm not having one, but if you don't like hospitals so much, perhaps consider a HB for subsequent babies? DH hates hospitals too, so I understand 'cause I have to put up with his moaning every time he goes to one (which is ironic b/c he's been in hospital a few times whereas I never have & they don't both me!).
Beenie, do earplugs not help? They really are a lifesaver for me when noise stops me from sleeping. Also, my dad swears by his white noise machine (of which I am determined to get one when have some dosh). Is your DS's room a bit quieter - maybe a kip on his bed?
At my hospital you can apparently stay for up to 24 hrs in the birth centre but they really do encourage you to go home ASAP (postnatal ward is only for women that had medical intervention during birth). I want to stay long enough to make sure BF seems to be going okay but otherwise I can imagine all I will want is to be home in my own bed!
I know Aless, I kind do like the idea of a HB but there are several reasons I didn't go for it - a) I live in a rented house and there's something icky about it, b) my mum would not EVER stop giving me earache about it, c) I went 31 hrs with my last (I know it's often shorter at home and for 2nd but still) if that happens again, for me, really drugs are the only option, d) My age, and e,f,g and h) I'm a chicken!!!
You can't really wear earplugs when you've got other kids as you can't hear what they're up to or if they're in trouble.0 -
:beer:Ooh 32b, if the 15min thing was your idea then I want to kiss you! I have one more load of washing in than I had before, all the recyclings been put out, I've got any clothes off the bedroom floor, the dishes are done, medicines put away and even had a crawl round picking anything up off the living room floor that I keep leaving there because of the pelvic pain.:T
Ooh alarms sounding - cup of tea time over, off I go again!0 -
aless i've already thought about that one but the Bintoid has her music on too
Why can't they just go and get jobs?! I've never not had a job in my 6.5 yrs living here, until now! And it's painful.... But these people sit in their houses all day playing their music. So sad.
Ooh and i have no earplugs but i don't think i'd be able to sleep with them in anyway! Considering i'm half deaf cos of my ear infection i wonder how loud their music really is?! lol0 -
Well this thread moves too fast when i'm so busy at work! I can't keep up!
I'm not a big fan of hospitals either, had a bad experience a few years ago and didn't get treated nicely. This might be one of the reasons I'm planning a HB.
Well, DH felt baby kick for the first time yesterday! It was amazing! He almost cried too which was really sweet. I'm so loving being pregnant right now!!0 -
I like the idea of the 15 mins housework too. But i'd end up doing 15 mins housework, 2 hour rest
Lol!! I blame being poorly, will get onto it on Monday - honest

Good afternoon ladies. I enjoying my well earned day off today. It's been a long bloody week - can't believe I've also had a day off sick (mon for my emergency scan) and a half day on Tues!
Went to the hairdressers this morning and she asked me when I was going to start trying for a baby and gave me a funny look. I've never talked to her about wanting a family or ttc so was totally out of the blue. I told her that I'm nearly 9 weeks pregnant and she said "I knew it!" Apparantly she's a bit pyschic but tries not to do it in work only can;t help herself sometimes! She said everything should be fine now and it will probably be a boy. All a bit spooky!!
I'm thinking of getting a dreamgenie pillow and wondered if anyone had any feedback on them? There's some amazing reviews on Amazon but some negative ones as well. The negative ones all say the same thing - that it's not as big as they would have expected and that it rips easily. I'm quite tall (5ft 7) and altho I'm relatively slim (for now!) I'm quite broad and bigboned.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
That is precisely why we havent told anyone not even our parents til weve had the 'all-clear' at the 1st scan oh and it might have something to do with putting the mockers on things
I am quite happ for peeps to know but with my DD i kept it quiet til 12 weeks.
What will be will be - that's my motto (for today! lol)
Hope you're keeping well?
