gill - I bought a Dream Genii a few weeks ago because I was having bad hip/leg pain when sleeping (which was effectively making me NOT sleep). I have nothing else to compare it to, but I love it & was worth every penny to me in order to get a decent night's sleep!! It's the most useful because you can flip sides without a lot of fuss (something I do very often when I sleep), whereas something like a body pillow you'd have to flip with you and readjust every time you moved IFSWIM.

I'm only 5'5" but the length seems perfectly fine to me...seems like there'd be more than enough room to be a few inches taller and still have everything fit properly. I've only had it a couple of weeks so can't comment on it ripping, but the stuffing has held up well so far. The middle bit has a lot of room for growth so when you're smaller, you just push the pillow bit right up next to you but as you grow there's plenty of room still for your bump to fit.

I bought mine in an 'emergency' for the full price at Mothercare, but I'm pretty sure you can get them for £10ish less on eBay.

lol - it didn't bother me too much tbh - i was just shocked that people don't always realise what they're saying or how loud.
I am quite happ for peeps to know but with my DD i kept it quiet til 12 weeks.
What will be will be - that's my motto (for today! lol)
    Hope you're keeping well?

gill - if I was looking for a pillow now I would look on market stalls if poss. I got the ten pound one from lidl but I have since seen similar ones (not to the genie one but the big fat long ones- bolster pillows I think theyre called - mine is fab) for £5. They had some at the boots sale in Warrington on Sun - you often get market traders selling stuff that isn't second hand at boot sales I've noticed I'm 5 ft 1 and mine is much longer than me!

Ooh the house is already looking a lot tidier, but then I conned myself on the last 15 min stint as I forgot to press start on the timer so ended up doing half an hour instead lol! I'll be able to have a nice guilt-free nap in a bit now!
  • Beenie - have you been to see the doctor? You seem to have been under the weather for a wee while now...

    Just checking x

eta - it is perfectly reasonable to be asleep at any time of the day when pregnant - as long as it isn't when you need to do the school run!

Mrs I - I only used the double buggy for about 6 months after ds1 was born as dd1 [STRIKE]was[/STRIKE] is an independant little madam who was determind to walk rather than go in the pram (at 2 and a little bit) Depending on how you think your ds walking would fit into your lifestyle another couple of options would be to have bubs in a sling (and ds in a pram) or ds on a buggy board and bubs in the pram. Just a thought they come on leaps and bounds at that age...

Hugs/hellos and get well soon wishes for all the poorly peeps x

    I know! :(
My doc is a bit of a herbal hippy and rarely gives out antibiotics for things like chest infections. It wasn't too long ago i went in with tonsillitis and he told me to come back in 10 days
So i haven't been purely on that basis, thinking it would be a waste of time but if my ears don't pop soon i am going to try see someone, cos everything is muffled and it's so uncomfortable :o It all started out as a cold but IMO i'm dying lol, so trying not to be a drama queen :o

Beenie - maybe go to the chemist instead to get something OTC for your ears?

EA, it's a way of getting procrastinators like me to get a bit done around the house. I set my phone timer for 15 mins then just do a blitz until it goes off then set it for another 15 mins and rest so I come on here or make a cup of tea then repeat.

Kitchen has gone from looking a bit squalid - rings on worktops, messy hob etc to being almost (really need to do insides of cupboards) spotless. Just mopped the floor - why is it that no matter where the cat is she always becomes suddenly extremely hungry when I take her bowls up for washing and the floor is wet?!

Since I was having those regular pains last night thought I would bring up the subject of names with OH this morning as we aren't set on any yet and getting a bit worried. However, I was pretty convinced it was going to be Ethan but at this late stage OH has said he doesn't like it and never has!! Arrrgh! Men! seriously he has suggested Clark and Bruce so far - can you see the theme?! Seriously!
