It only stung as it went in it didn't sting after or make my arm feel numb or anything!
Midwife said it looks worse than it is cos the needle is quite wide, she said people sometimes ask for a smaller needle and they don't realise it stings less, the wider the needle.
I never knew that!0 -
I had my Anti-D in my arm, my MW was saying she preferred to give it into the bum or thigh as it stings less but new guidelines state it has to go into muscle not fat as it gets into the body quicker. She was saying it shouldn't matter if you were having it normally and not because of tramua but she had to follow guidelines. I thought it stung really bad and did for the rest of the day so I would prefer it in my butt cheek LOL!Lightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!

Thanks weezle that made very interesting reading especially pg 112. Have read my notes through and their is nothing in them to make a c/s needed this time, unless they have yet to tell me of any complications but given that it was all said at my first appointment(booking in at 20+2:rotfl:) i don't see how they would have had any results except the scans to go by. Will be fighting the point of DS's birth.
Well dinner was lovely and going by the movements of bump i think he approves, feels like he is practicing to be a first dan in martial arts OUCH. Forgot about the old sting with the anti-D, but i was usually to busy trying not to pass out at the needle to notice it.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

Just goingback to all the recent pushchair discussion - there's a 10% off at Mothercare code here (£100+). I won't be buying from there though i find it very overpriced!

At which point he got kicked scared the life out of him. Still no news on harley then ???Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0

Had my appointment at the doctors surgery today. It was a bit of a disappointment as the nurse only asked me a few questions about how many pregnancies i've had, got me to fill in a few forms, gave me an emmas diary & mum plus one magazine and was then told that the midwife would be in touch with me in a few weeks
.
The one good thing is that i will be seeing the same midwife as when i had my DS and she is a very nice and caring midwife (or at least was when i last saw her 17 months ago).
I just really hope that i get to see the midwife sooner rather than later as when i was pregnant with my DS i didn't get my first scan until i was 19 weeks pregnant  so i'm hoping that this time i'll get my dating scan when i'm 12 weeks gone.
p.s - i know this isn't the best place to ask but how do you put a signature on your threads?Married since 28/04/2007
