Glad it's not just me with the oh then, worst aisles for him when shopping are the chocolate and the beer ones, As for friends have felt left out since finding out i was pregnant. All my friends had their baby years ago, and i was the odd one out then, But many years spent clubbing and partying and girly holidays etc. Then i got pregnant and they are all finding their second wind and dont think i want to go out at all !!! As they dont want to go for meals they just want to go clubing or getting Pi**ed around one each others houses, and no dont fancy being around loads of drunk women but the offer would be nice, so ladies to sum up i think a lot of us are in the same boat and at least we are pregnant and we have each other on here.Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0

Here here LOU i agree, can't be doing with pubs etc haven't bothered with them since erm well actually lost interest before it was legal for me to be in them lol:o Besides wine stains are a nightmare to get out of carpets and the dogs don't like loud people.
And you cant just turn off RL when you want to go to bed, theirs no promising to call and twenty minutes in the hall trying to get your drunk friend to put their jacket on lol[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

I now have 60 working days left, well 58.5 as I still have 1.5 days left to book in at some point!
Whoop whoop!!
Hiya, sorry about your difficult family time at the mo
Our personnel dept ask us to take the leave we will accrue over the ML period before ML starts, so they won't land up owing us too much on return/or too much pay in lieu if we resign at the end. Is yours not like that, and does that mean you get to use 2 years worth of leave on your return, if so, double whoop whoop, good system!

SJ- really sorry to hear about your Grandparents. Fingers crossed that it is good news on your Grandma, and that your Grandad makes a good recovery from his op. My Grandad had a couple of aneurism ops about 10 years ago and he recovered well, although it does take time. He still has massive scars though and loves to show them off!
I bought a yogurt maker today and I'm very excited about it! Half price in Lakeland.
I've got a breast feeding class tonight at the hospital so I'm just having a rest now in preparation for a late(ish) night.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Hiya ladies,
Sorry I've not been on in a couple of days - almost jealous of you all having 'normal' jobs so you can sit at your desk & nose on MSENot sure if I have the mental capacity to catch up properly (I think baby is stealing my intelligence) but will try.
Congrats on all the new babiesCant wait to see pics...and to hear from Harley!
SJ - so sorry to hear about your grandparents hope they both get well very soon. Hope you're able to support your mum as much as possible it must be really tough on her at the minute too. Lovely wedding pic too - did you get married at the town hall?
Kindof - good luck with the grocery challengeSince I stopped taking OH shopping with me, I save tonnes! He only gets beer when it's on offer (I keep threatening to buy him Asda value beer when he moans - soon shuts him up!!!). We've a house packed with food and supplies though as I'm a total offer hoarder, so should there ever be a famine in my area we'll be ok for a good few months
Brill news on the test results too
Kelinik lovely scan pic
Re postage strikes (sorry not sure who asked!) - I know they're localised and my post's been slow this week as there's been a couple around Leeds. I've also noticed a lot more post going missing so think it's a bit hit and miss
I'm with you all re: friends. All of mine seem to be recapturing their youth - and I'm not invited to play. I only have one friend who has a child who's now coming up to 3 years old, and she doesn't live nearby anymoreI'm so afraid of ending up with no friends and being stuck indoors alone with baby. Tragic as it is, I'm almost 18 weeks and still haven't told everyone. Ooh SJ whereabouts are you going to antenatal? My OH's sis went to a womens only one which I asked my midwife about but she didn't seem to know anything, she seems to have made loads of friends there so I was really interested but struggling to find out more.
Ooh I have a food dilemma...thai curry or chicken tikka for tea? Decisions decisions...I can't wait to be able to make food decisions in advance againBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
AARRGGG just jumped out of my skin...OH had brought nephews phone over to fix one of prongs for charging then went out without it so i found out when the stupid thing made the loudest of noises for his alarm. Note to self ask nephew !!!!!! set an alarm for 5pm:mad:
On the friends thing again my old school has a website that all my old friends are on, i joined years ago to keep up with the gossip etc(hey i'm human lol)Any way i posted scan pic on it last week announced bubs on it's way and not one of them has commented on it.:( wouldn't mind so much but they had 3 pages on a girls necklace that you could only see if you enlarge the pic. Glad i didn't bother my butt with them all these years.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j
