I'm feeling very tired tonight - can't do my usual trick of falling asleep infront of the tv while watching a film coz DH is watching the footie.
To whoever was asking about symptoms - I'm 8 +3 wks and haven't had any major symptons. I get shattered in an evening, although that has gradually got worse this last week. I also get a bit nauseus when I need to eat and feel very sickly in an evening. Boobs are occasionally slightly tender but nothing major. I felt quite worried about lack of symptoms but had an early scan on Monday and saw my little bean and heard it's heartbeat so everything is going great so far.
On the job front I'm a store manager for Bonmarche. My boss has been great so far and is very supporting. I do love my job so am hoping to go back after having baby but will have to have a serious think.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Can I join ?
I think I'm 2 weeks ( have all the symptoms, I know it's very early but i'm excited ) I already have a 5 year old so have a fair idea what I'm in for. Feeling tired, I work full time so am knackered all the time.
I can't wait until I can do a test but my symptoms so far are being sick, tender/bloated tummy, soo soo tired, mild cramps and I feel a bit emotional. Can anyone advise which is the best/earliest pregnancy test I can do
Thanks

Welcome mylittlesisterlola, Congradulations. Can't offer advice on the test as i was so far along i think a kids chem set would have detected it lol.
Ok more on 28 week appointment, dose it matter if the rhes D jag is 2 weeks late, or will i need to organize another appointment at 28wks for jag and GTT
Appointment section in notes only has scan appointment in it. for 30wks,[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

MLSL- Don't mean to offend but I don't think any test will detect at 2 weeks. Some tests claim to be able to tell before your period is due but IIRC they only have about a 40% success rate of this.
The best thing to do is wait until you are at least 3 days late, then any test you do should be 100% accurate.
32B- I really think you'll need to contact your MW to clarify things as every hospital is different :-(0 -

I just had some thai green curry super noodles, i dont recommened them. They are plain and yukky
I have my ipod back! Im well excited. I thought we lost it when we moved and i couldn't afford the £220 to replace it. Turns out we left it at the old flat and my sister picked it up when she was collecting some stuff for my uncle (he owns the flat) and forgot to tell me lol.
Is it bad that im still hungry after a bowl of noodles? I might make some more
Everyone ignore EA lol the thai green noodles are lush lol
AND yay for the Ipod

Not sure if it is the best...
I used a regular boots preg test (22/12/08 late afternoon) af was due around 25/12/08 (didn't want to spoil the big day wondering!) It was a very definate positive (although I did buy a twin pack as I didn't expect it to work :rotfl: ) Although the tiredness was a giveaway...
Hope you get the result you want x0 -
Evening girls,
so, midwife appointment was rearranged to late this afternoon rather than the start, and then had to wait 50 mins to see someone. They were cleaning the centre getting ready to close by the time I was seen  They did have 2 people off sick though so I guess I'll forgive them
I'm fine apparantly, bubs is sounding fine and moving about (heard her having hiccups when they were checking the heartbeat! so cute)She has finally moved down a bit, so somewhere between 1 and 2/5 engaged. Tried for a sweep, but definate no go: everything is still well back apparantly so the midwife couldn't even reach (and believe me, she tried! Ouch!) So they do not see me going into labour on my own - think I will definately need started off  Induction booked for monday afternoon.
Hope you're all well: welcome to the newbies and labour vibes for csh xx0 -
Aww, Squishy thats quite disappointing for you :-(
TBH thats a big part of the reason I declined a sweep today, I don't want to be told its not happening, I want to live in hope that I'll need to phone OH back from the nightshift in a panic lol
I'm getting my date for induction tomorrow, but she reckons it'll be about Tuesday.
Sending labour vibes, you never know ;-)0 -

Squishy Monday seems so close, at least you know when bubs will be given their eviction notice now!
We had our first 'birth workshop' last night, I left my house at 6.25am for work, did a full day, came home for 5 mins to get OH a change of clothes as I was meeting him at the hospital, went to the class and got home at 9.45pm  Im soo tired today after such a long day yesterday and Ive got really bad toothache on a tooth thats crowned. Ive got a horrid feeling its about to fall off and its one of my front teeth.Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
