Thanks CB. I'm thinking it would be worth it too.
Somnium- your scan seems to have come round really quickly! You must be getting so excited about it.
We saw loads of friends over the weekend as it was OH's 30th () and they kept asking if we've found out the sex yet (they know we couldn't at the 20 week scan).....it's like, yeah, one day the baby just decided to tell us what sex it is, or the midwife had a good feel and decided it's a boy. Some people have no clue! I also got asked how I know when baby was awake- this guy thought baby's just laid still in the uterus all the time. I also had several people look at my bump and tell me the sex (well, half of them will be right I guess) and one girl, who I'd never met before, tell me I'm enormous . Charming.......:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

I hope yorkygal wanted to be on the list?
If not just let me know and i'll take it off!
I dont mind being on the list Beenie
Just a couple of quick questions.......does the GP work out EDD based on a 28-day cycle?? If so I think mine has been a 22-day cycle. Also when will I have the 1st scan, is it at 12wks or before/after?? Also what happens at the 1st meeting with MW and would my OH be able to go with me??Opinions are like ar*eholes - everybody has one!!!!0 -

It was 5 1/2 weeks the other day, where is time going???0 -
Its flying EA, I Kinda freaked the other day cos I realise we are nearly halfway lol
Yorkygal - It will be the midwife at your booking appointment who works out your EDD, you could tell her you usuallt have a 22 day cycle?
Your first scan is usually around the 12 week mark
Your OH can deffo go with you to all appointments if he wants to, the midwife at mybooking appointment asked me loads of health questions, took blood (5 different blood test) but you dont have to have the blood tests if you dont want (I only just found that out the MW didnt tell me they werent compulsay (I would have had them but its the principle lol)) I was there quite a while.
Then once you have seen MW you just have to wait for your 12 week scan
Then here where I am, once I had my EDD from teh scan I had to ring for a midwife appointment on my 16th week for Spina Bifida and Downs Syndrome blood tests

Your EDD is usually worked out based on an average cycle, which is why they can/will change your date after your 1st scan. My EDD changed by a week!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
