  • I think the booking in and 1st scan must vary by area - from what my GP said, mine will both me done on the same day at a local community clinic at about 12 weeks.

I'm seriously fed up of being stuck at home feeling ill. I'd be quite happy with some normal morning sickness right now. And a great way to tell your boss your pregnant as well - "sorry boss, not coming back to work straight after my 3 week holiday cos I'm up the duff and really ill with it" OOPS

I'm now on two different meds to try and control sickness, and doc mentioned hospitalisation again if it didn't get better soon. Not good for someone who is as terrified of needles as I am.

    hope everyone is doing ok

Afternoon ladies. Loved all the baby pic's and a bump pic too.

vibes to everyone that needs them.

Welcome to any newbies that have joined, Congratulations.
Cant believe their are June dates on the list:eek: how long was i gone ?

OK ladies i totally understand why our OH's end up in separate beds because if mine had woke me once more last night i would have been removing him out of the window.lol He kept cuddling me and squeezing bump. So i think i will either buy a PG pillow to keep him away or he's in with DS.

Someone said about the shampoo for the itching, i have tried but so far have only managed to find one that keeps it to the minimum. DD is loving it as we now have loads of fragrances so she is experimenting with me and telling me which ones are bad anyway lol so far tea tree from tesco that was less than a pound is tops for her but nightmare for me. OH is not happy as the shelf is now full of bottles, will need to give some away soon i think.

    Can't believe i am 22+3:eek:

Congratulations nikki Edward is soooooooooooo lovely

  • Congratulations Nicki! He is gorgeous and I can't wait to read your BS. I hope it was as stress-free as possible. Love the name too.

Sorry to here you are struggling Scotsgirl. I really feel for people with bad morning sickness. Fingers crossed the meds will kick in and you avoid hospital. Just try and think that this will come to an end- it is only a phase and the prize at the end of it is worth it.

Lol, my OH always attaches himself to me during the night. Like i would be laying on my back and all of a sudden he would be holding onto my side lol.

Haha i have this guy on the phone calling for his son and they are arguing cause the son doesn't know his postcode :rotfl:
He's saying "how can anyone not know there postcode?"

Congrats Nicki, cant see the pic as im at work, but i'll look at home later. I love the name edward, i want it on our list but OH says no :(

  • No bump yet for oh to cuddle, but he keeps rolling back and leaning on my rather large and tender boobs instead!

He follows me about the bed even if i switch sides. every time i move a leg he occupies the space it was in and heaven forbid i sneeze and curl up or i lose the entire bed lol

Scot girl i hope the m/s goes soon. I used to pass out at needles but thanks to 3 pregnancy's i am now ok with them. Once left a nurse physically shaking when i fell off the chair, OH caught me just as my head hit a sink. She had to get a doc to take the blood as every time she came near me she started to tremble lol. I get the blood taken lying down now and it seems to help me focus on other things(mmm wonder when roof was last painted:rotfl:)

Ow, tell me about it! I want to punch OH when he does that lol!

He also puts his hand on my tummy, there is a little bump there but im not comfortable with people touching my tummy, even OH. So i lay there really awkwardly until he moves or i tell him to lol.

  • Nicki- if you're still about I just wanted to say that your BS brought tears to my eyes! I am so pleased that it was a positive experience for you as I know how anxious you are. Sounds like the hospital did a fab job and pleased to hear that Mum and baby are doing well now.

  • Why don't they understand that these big lumps on our front are actually attached to our bodies and therefore have feeling in them eh! Might start sleeping in a sports bra to try and fend him off a bit!

I had to get blood taken and an IV when I was on holiday, and the paramedics though I was hilarious because the second they said " needle" and came near me, my blood pressure and heart rate pretty much doubled.
