  • Do you have a john lewis or debenhams instead? Basically, when it comes to getting a bra if they bring out a measuring tape run a mile cos they are clueless! our local mothercare told a colleague who was a 34g that she should buy a 38b. it was quite comical really.

Hahah! There is a clear difference in a B and a G just by looking lol.

Yeah we have both near, are they better then?

Will i have to get topless? Cause i always thought by wearing a bra thats to small for you during a measurement would affect the measure as it squishes your boobs lol x

The ladies in our M&S measure you just by looking apparently  I'm told they've never been wrong, lol.
  • Certainly the ones near me are.

A decent fitter won't actually measure. What bravissimo do, and most better places, is look at you in your current bra. They'll have a feel at the back to see how tight it is to judge if you need to move up or down in the back, then they'll look at the front to try and judge whether you need to go up or down in the cup. They'll then bring you a bra in the right kind of size and try that, and basically work from there until they find one that is the perfect fit for you.

no tape measure is needed at all.

Be fun to go to a place, get your correct fitting then go into M&S and get them to 'guess' and test how acurate they are :D x
  • I have done that in the past....at that point I was wearing mainly a 30gg, lady in M&S tried to sell me a 36dd.
  • AAAHHHH never go by a measuring tape when you are going for a bra. i was measured once before with a tape and the women was adamant i was a 32AA now i am not a big girl but i do have some, and even my friend who was with me told her she was nuts but their was no telling her. In the end i had to try one on to show her it was not gonna work (they kept popping out lol). She was still standing their saying perhaps a half cup would be best. so we left and went else where and the new women just looked and got it right she couldn't believe they measured me to a AA cup.

And with all this talk of bras i have just bought one. lol
