I didn't have my first MW appt until almost 12 weeks from LMP. Can't honestly remember when I went to the GP, but she just took my word on it & filled in the paperwork to get me referred to MWs. The MW then phoned me some time later (maybe a couple of weeks? I really can't remember) to set up the first appt. It was very laid-back even though it was my first preg. I think it all really is random and depends on how your PCT runs things.
eta: just found it...had my GP appt at 6+4 according to LMP and my booking-in was 11+3. Not sure when she phoned me to set up the appt though!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

He, he.....just reminded me of when my little brother was about three and my youngest brother was a baby. The three year old tried to breastfeed his Postman Pat doll as that was what he 'd seen Mummy do. I should remind him of that- he turned 18 this year!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Welcome scotsgirl – I skipped the morning sickness but use sea sickness bands if I have a bit of nausea. But definitely check it out with the doc – maybe they can give you something.
Glad you found the cat gymfiend – a bit like me losing my tortie the other day.
Glad you had a nice break gisi:D
EA – just you wait lovely – I am up every hour or so and I am only 25 weeks – sometimes to turn over, sometimes to wee, sometimes due to beanie squirming or kicking around (4am seems to be its favourite time) and I am sure its only going to get worse!:o
Wow lou66 on the double womb – that is amazing. May I ask does that mean you can have two pregnancies at the same time of different gestations?
CONGRATULATIONS GILL – on a nice scan and a nice EPU.:j
Welcome Mrs T
Weezl - “There's not much you can do with a pair of thumbs that's worse than a bony ball of approx 35cm circumference won't do m'lovely! Massage away!” are you talking about what I think you are? OH hasn’t been near me since april so what do I do? i can barley reach:eek: but i take your point about the incontenence and tearing:eek: so i am going to give it a go.
Also is there a sling meet soon in cardiff - are you going?:D

OMG. I'm currently having a bit of a buggy/carseat crisis. We have the My3 from Mothercare, which I'm happy with. However we have a Mamas and Papas carseat which isn't compatible with it.
I thought, originally, that I wasn't worried about this as I don't really like to see babies left in their carseats for hours at a time, but now I'm thinking that logistically it would be much easier for visiting family. On these occasions baby wouldn't be in their for hours, but since my family live a ferry ride away, it would save taking a pushchair or pram and carrying a car seat with me.
Anyone got an opinion on this? I'd need to buy a Maxicosi carseat to fit the pushchair, but I guess I could sell on the M+P one as it's still in its box.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
grr! yet another reason i have little faith in my hospital.I was told to ring at 3 for my results for my GTT as they would need to see me asap if it came back pos. I have now been ring for the last 1 hr and 27 mins and no answer. I bet they left dead on 3  So if they want me they can ring me now. This is my signature!0

 I used to wake up all night when i turned over on our water bed, it was a mission turning over. But now we have a nice normal mattress i can turn over and not wake up hehe.
But i have been waking up to get a drink in the night more, been finding im more thirsty. Which explains why i have been getting up for the toilet more :rotfl:
Im finished work now, woohoo! Off to see my lovely nan and collect my baby blanket she made me
