wish i was a student so want to upgrade to windows 7 but being on a tight budget by the time i saved up the price will shoot up to the max price, just my luck lol0

Sure, my point is neither is Windows 7.Snow leopard is hardly groundbreaking itself. It's not a new OS
Actually, Snow Leopard is more of a milestone, as it removes support for PowerPC (which is where I suspect the performance enhancements have come from!).

before i make a decision on what to do can someone please confirm is windows 7 an upgrade from vista?
i'm thinking of changing to xp or windows 7 because someone posted this on another threadIf that were my machine I'd be bringing it back to XP, because Vista is a resources hog and that laptop isn't very powerful.
