I'm waiting to see what the NHS deal is so DW can buy. But £65 is a good deal. I'll need two or three copies; I wonder if there'll be an NHS deal on the family pack?
I wouldn't anticipate that the NHS Home User Programme would involve a Family Pack as the scheme is in place to enable staff to work from home rather than providing a source of cheap software for the family.0 -
On the same note, students and parents with kids in full time education (school nursery upwards) can get all sorts of MS office software for next to nothing from software4students (google it, I am not allowed to post links as I am new to this forum). Office 2007 enterprise which costs well over £500 can be yours for £35 if you buy before the end of October0

a real shame that it's only that cost for higher, i.e. college/uni, students...
btw, just checked software4students (open to schools and other educational establishments as well) and they're not ffering it at all at present......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

Yip, worked for me. Think you get a 2-user license too.0 -

I starts up/shuts down faster than vista. Aero themes animate more smoothly. The OS as a whole is more intuitive to use. The media library is configurable as part of the operating system rather than just from Windows Media Player, meaning that other media player programs can feed from it.
What Microsoft say is, if your machine runs Vista, it'll run 7. Min memory requirements for the 32-bit version of Vista is 1GB, and 2GB for the 64-bit version.0 -
sounds like a great deal0

Massive improvement in what ways?
It looks a bit different, and has a shiny new name.
As for the performance, it's a bit better at some things, and a bit worse at others.
It's a minor upgrade, and a penny-pinching Vista user who is satisfied with it might as well stay with what they've got.0 -
what the view on going from XP to 7, worth it?0
