Windows 7 for £30

Anybody who pre-ordered Windows can ditch that order now, cause there's an even better one out (Well, it will be next week)

For a limited time, Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 7 Professional will be available for only £30. This offer is only for students, so I put it in the student section as well as here, in case some don't look that far down the board!

This is the site you'll need to go to.

  • It's a good deal, if you're a student..

Does it apply to deals such as the NHS one?

EDIT: Seems not at the moment. Worth noting that this is an upgrade only offer.

Interesting that the full version of Home Premium is 31p cheaper than the upgrade. What price loyalty?

It is, but I strongly recommend doing a fresh install. I'm running Windows 7 now, and it is very nice to use. A massive improvement over Vista, despite it running on the same platform.
  • I have windows 7 on my laptop and I agree with the above. It really is a must-have.

    Well done MSFT;)

After 31st December 2009 the price of the full versions will increase to their full RRP, which for HP is £149.99. This means that from release until the end of the year, we in the UK actually get a better deal than we historically have done.

I'm waiting to see what the NHS deal is so DW can buy. But £65 is a good deal. I'll need two or three copies; I wonder if there'll be an NHS deal on the family pack?
