just heard from my mum in usa that she might be turning up next week for a month. Nothing like giving us a bit of notice!

would love it if she does come as she can come with me to my scan - even though she thinks 2 children is enough. I havent plucked up the courage to tell her yet but guess i might have to as i am 9 weeks and she could in theory turn up any day.

Not sure where she will stay yet but guess we will fit her in somewhere

Well mum is supposed to arrive very early tuesday morning but i am guessing that may not happen now with the airports cancelling flights. Still not ready for her if she does manage to get her but will work on that tomorrow.

Its been a lovely sunny day here and my DD stayed over at her Nanas last night so only had DS to take care of. Managed 2 loads of washing - must get them off the line in a min, and a walk up town. I must remember to take water bottle with me as i am so thirsty at the moment. I am spending too much on bottles of drink when in town.

Not spent too much this weekend as i was at christening yesterday for food and drinks were all paid for. Only bought a few bits in town although the strawberries and cream were not on my list!

Oh well i better get the washing in x

DD back at nursery this morning for her last term before she starts school - bless her she cant wait. Thought today was the day we found out if we had got into our non catchment school but got to wait till tomorrow. I could have sworn today was the 20th. Never mind guess we can wait 1 more day. So hope she gets in as i really could not send her to the catchment area school and feel happy that it she was getting the best education. My mum was a reception teacher and i know the sort of things they are supposed to learn and the catchment school seems to leave these things till year 1 and concentrate on getting the children used to school in reception class. Well she is ready for school and already reading so its like she would be going backwards.

Sorry for that rant - must think positive x

feeling like a happy bunny again today. It looks like my DD has indeed been allocated a space at the better (in my opinion) school. Just waiting for confirmation email from them but on their website it says allocated next to the school so hoping thats all ok.

It also apears that mum will be arriving on the 27th rather than today due to the flight being cancelled but i guess it could still all change by then.

Got 3 punnets of raspberries from the freezer that i need to do something with as there is simply no room left for them. Will have to get thinking

well mum is here and currently decluttering my house for me. not sure whether thats a good or bad thing at the moment but will let you know.

bit worried as only a few pounds left in my bank and still quite a few more bills to go through so hoping i can get a few more pounds in before the 15th when i get next lot of housekeeping. Only problem being is that i have spotted the perfect xmas pressie for DS at a very reduced price. guess that will have to wait and hope the price stays the same.

I will also hopefully be getting my new larger freezer sometime this week so can go through the current freezer and live off that for the next few weeks.

Anyway must go as more decluttering to do. Hope everyone is well x

Well i have had quite a productive day today. I have managed to complete my tax return and also claim back £8.34 that was due to me from previous years - not much but at the moment every penny counts!

Have also managed some of OH tax return and will hopefully get that finished this week and therefore know his self employed profit ready for when the tax credit form drops through my door.

I have had another look at the benefits calc on here and tried to work out what i may be due next year pre and post baby - not sure if these figures will stay the same with the election results - not sure how that will effect things. Hope if it does change though it does not drop too much as not sure we will cope.

Need to do some cleaning as have let it slip since mum left on thursday. Must keep going so it looks good on her return.

Had my scan on friday morning and baby looking good so far. To my releif there is only 1 baby in there. Was starting to worry as feeling quite big for 12 weeks this time round. It works out i am a few days more pregnant than expected and am now 13 weeks. Due date is 13th nov so must have things sorted and finished long before then, including xmas pressies and bits sorted.

Also need to get dad to deliver his old freezer - couldnt do it while mum was about - as i need to list what i have in my chest freezer. Will be much easier to do whilst placing in the new one.

Well off to bed now as have worn myself out now

tax credit form has dropped through my door this morning so better get OH's accounts sorted so i can ring up and see what this year will bring us. I do hope it not much lower if at all this year as we would really struggle.

OH finally got round to painting our lounge yesterday and will be putting up the curtains today - we have been living without curtains for around 2 months now after his 'helpful' nana took them down and broke the curtain pole. I cant wait to sit at night time without the whole world being able to look in. The wall colour is a lemon colour and is quite different - nice but different to our old grubby walls - it will take a little time to get used to them i think.

Well off now to take DD to nursery and try to resist the bakery next door. Very yummy cakes and although i have lost almost half a stone since being pregnant i dont want to be putting it all back on, plus not very mse when i have a perfectly good banana cake in the kitchen!

Have a great day everyone x
