hello please can i ask for some advise i have been told by a company that i have some unenforceable cards they have passed my details on to a solicitor to to whatever it needs ! i am worried about signing paper work as dont understand it all could i ask the company to return everthing and try to do it myself

Save your time and sanity - the company will be out of business soon enough (what with the recent ruling lol) - time to do it yourself for a whole £1....:D

  • Has anyone sent any of these letters and either had a good result i.e. debt written off, or a bad one, i.e the credit card company start harassing you to clear more than you can afford? It sounds a bit too good to be true......I am trying to clear a £10k credit card and the bank who own the card are being incredibly unreasonable by not allowing me to convert my borrowing to a loan with a more favourable rate, and are currently charging me £200 per month as a minimum repayment just to keep the actual balance at the same amount. I really want to reduce it but can't afford to pay more and would be grateful for any advice.

    Yours hopefully....

Yes 100's are successful but its not something that is 'cleared' it is either unenforceable or it isn't. You should consider a payment plan, speak to them again and if they won't help then look to move lenders.

Most recent success story (Proof) is below:

Last week i got a letter from Lovells saying original lender no longer have the CCA because it was so old and they would not be perusing me for the £7600 debt - I nearly fell off the chair!!!

So I wanted to say a big thank you to NID for the fantastic and consistent advice and to everyone who has posted
