ASDA The customer is always wrong

Options
Ive shopped here for a few years & was impressed with the freindly check out staff but today I had the misfortune to stand with my weeks shopping in the way of a woman collecting baskets she barked something like move or Im coming through, I am a little deaf but next thing "Ill go round you then shall I - if you wont move out of the way" what ....I looked in front of me no baskets there she continued to moan & I said you do get paid dont you which made her more angry & she muttered something saying Ill get security, a young woman turned up before I had paid for the shopping saying a complaint had been made that I swore & I would be barred from the store, even though I explained what really happened my partner was present & confirmed what I said it seemed to count for nothing - what ever happened to the customer always being right ? Just to finish of as I left the store the same assistant was standing by the exit laughing
Theres only two rules to remember
1) Im always right
2) See rule 1

Davey - don't let this go. Get on to the store manager and head office. The woman clearly needs sorting out and re-training - if she gets away with it now there will be no stopping her.

What I find strange is that the OP was clearly blamed for this incident and threatened with a ban from the store so they obviously took what the sales assistant said as true.
Is this usually how large stores behave towards customers?

    Who was this 'young woman'?
Did she speak to you about this in front of other customers?
    What was her attitude like?

I have to ask this - DID you swear?

As an aside, it really hacks me off when people employed by the store (shelf stackers, trolley collectors etc) seem to think THEIR job is more important than the customers who are doing their shopping.
Here's a tip - if there weren't any customers you wouldn't be needed to stack shelves or collect trolleys.

Well it's your word against hers, but I suspect this may not be the first complaint this member of staff has had about them.Which store was it?

How many people do you think are rude and abusive to staff doing their job then deny being in the wrong?

I find it unlikely a staff member just made up that you swore.

More than likely a simple misunderstanding led to you both arguing and getting aggressive.

I really cant see you getting anywere here.

They could of at least listened to their CUSTOMER. Some people have been working at the same place for so long they get away with a lot more then other workers would.

I would definately make a complaint, if what youve posted here is true.

Shouldn't leave the store... make the complaint there and then. Then follow up with HQ afterwards.

I'd love to hear the other side of the story...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

If its my story, the cashier, called across 2 colleagues to track down a male customer who was walking up the asile as she fancied him. This was not a teenager but a middle aged woman.
Also she moaned as I could not pack fast enough, as she was loseing track of the target! Bit difficult to pack fast when ur on crutches.
