Hi All,
Just found this thread, you are all doing so well :T
I cut down on the booze at the start of every New Year - I usually aim to have 6weeks of none at all, managed 4 weeks last year but am determined to go the full 6weeks this time.
Plus I worked out that my OH is back from the USA exactly on 6 weeks and I have taken a week off for then so there will def be a few celebratory drinks then!
Keep going all! Day 7 already today :eek:2019 will be my year!!0 -
Good morning - another cold one here -6 when I dropped the kids to school.
Didn't drink last night so hat's 3 for me.
Thanks for the link PBT, there are some interesting pieces there, very thoughtful.
thanks for your post BB. the idea of just not having to take the decision whether to drink or not is really very appealing (that is just saying I don't drink), but I can't face up to that right now so I have to take a one day at a time approach.
One of my things is that there is an expectation that you will drink, particulary at certain events or in certain situations and I don't yet know how to deal with that. Still, it's a learning process.
Sorry, disappearing up my own backside and it's still early in the day.
Have a good one and keep warm everyone.Trying to keep in budget.

Morning all
Bluddy cold here today. Brrr!!!!
Winebox - good to see you again!! Thought we would have to send a search party out for you...Budgie will be most relieved!
Budgie - Poor you! Hope your back is ok today? Take it easy.
Shaggy - sounds like you're doing ok on the diet. I always find the first week a struggle but seem to find it alright after that. Plus this week its really cold and that always makes me want to eat lots of comfort food!
Fay - ((Hugs)) just cos I think you need them.
HB - 6 for me please!
Well, I made it to work yesterday. Only half our drivers managed to get out to do deliveries, and some of them came back after a few hours. So I was only at work for and hour and half. Hardly seemed worth it! My lovely OH gave a lift home to a colleague who works with me. Bosses had sent a van to collect her in the morning (buses were not running) but all went home without arranging how she should get home! Management in our place is not good and it makes me very angry!
Piglets nursery is open but not sure whether to take him. Its a bit rural and my cars a bit like a roller skate in this weather
Best go get piglet dressed - he's dying for a snowball fight

My school's shut :T:T:T:T
The kid's school is open :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
The only school in the Borough that's opened
Means that I can get on with my housework
OH decided not to go in so will be getting in my way:(:(
Apart from that, happy days
Hugs Budgie, hope your back's okay? xx
Hugs to anyone else that needs em (((())))
Must not must not must not stay on here all day

YM, get a blackberry or a Nokia E71 (I just got one of these and the internet connection is great
).
The results for these 2 youngsters on Jeremy Kyle was shocking, they are so young and already have fatty livers (stage 1 of liver failure) and deranged liver function :eek:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

Very scary stuff! I pray to god Piglet takes after his Dad and is teetotal when he's older.
Deranged liver? I know the rest of me is deranged so stands to reason my liver would be!(Sorry, being flip!)**Keep Calm and Carry On!**0
