  • Hello everyone. Well I crawled back on the wagon tonight so that's an amazing  3/10 in December so far. I have a cunning plan for 2010 to not drink on at least alternate days. I think that should be simple enough for me to understand. A target of 16 for January is higher than I've managed all year but everyone else shows me it's not impossible. And a single AFD is better than I did Jan 09.

Going away last week was fun but I will try to have another AFD tomorrow, one day at a time I guess.

Hope you are all doing well. G'night and sleep well.

Yep....I'm reeling. dancing on the ceiling (cue Lional Ritchie)...loving it though....so much better than, 'where can I get my next drink?' Christ, after all this time, as my whole family went out for a drink tonight, I SO wished I could go with them, but I don't trust myself, and I can't stand the gossip in such a small place, but the temptations still there- hate it, hate it, hate. I will not drink today, and I want to be able to say that every single day forever, thats all I want, not to be a hopeless alcoholic anymore.

Come on guys, get yourself free from the grip of this stuff if you're stuck- you can live without it, honestly.

    Loads of love Eselt
  • Eselt, you're such a star & an inspiration. Your will power rocks :j

ps.loving the Lionel Ritchie too ;)

  • Dropping by to say hi, and 22 now for me please, Marru.

Sounds like some of us are resorting to sweet things instead of drink. I'm pigging (sorry Miss Piggy:o) on Lidl Xmas marzipan this evening and am hoping someone will give me marrons glaces for Xmas prezzie.

This is a hard time of year, I'm following Eselt's example and living a very quiet life, helped by still having a cold. I don't feel like I'm missing out too much as one of the many reasons I drank was because I used to get nervous at large social gatherings!
