Hello,

So many posts so forgotten now what was going to comment. Fay - dinner sounded lush!!

No wonder I was ready to bed yesterday after breakfast. When BF came and brought proper thermometer with him we found out that I had temperature over 38C. So I am now bed bound. He has now walked to the local shop with DD to get us some provisions until tomorrow when we are heading to his neck of the woods. I had planned to get so much done, especially baking (to impress my hopefully future family) so really want to get better to be able to do that. Not really to impress but because they are all lovely. I am sooooo lucky.

Anyway - I shall update the online spreadsheet in the moment and then sneak downstairs to get a cup of tea. I can safely say that as I have my wonderful BF on my side for the rest of the year it should be a doddle to reach my target of 31 - woohoo!! (wouldn't mind some port thou...:o)

Soooooo happpy

Just been out and bought OH a coffee machine she so badly wants - we are pretty skint, but she has been so wonderful this year, what with supporting me going back to uni and making the financial sacrifices, and for being so understanding about my ever present battle with the booze - how can I not get her something nice she really would like!

So I am feeling all loveydovey and smug and Christmassey now

I haven't had a drink for well over a week now either so I am well chuffed about that. I have not been keeping count of the days, which has helped a bit, because I don't think I have been thinking about drinking so much.

I might be able to stay sober this week, as the in-laws are coming to stay for Xmas and don't really drink. It's also my birthday on Boxing Day, however I've decided we are going to the cinema to see the new Sherlock Holmes that evening, so that will deter me from drinking!! That's my sneaky plan anyway....

Have a great day all. I am off to drop a pressie round at my friend's now.

I've just had the best news ever!! 3 weeks behind on the rent and so I finally plucked up the courage to ring the council and ask if I could pay twice at the end of this month instead and it turns out as I've been paying over and above for quite a while to pay back arrears, I've actually caught up and there's been a rent decrease (??!) so I can forget paying last months rent altogether, never been so relieved and happy
