Hugs chaps - making soup here and a roast dinner later will I set the table?

We've lots of fizzy water in and lots of cordial (no wine or beer in the house) so who's up for a bit of roast chookie with all the trimmings and yorkshire puds?

Can extend my normal table (which sits 10) and put out the lovely new deep aubergenie purpley plates which I bought with November AF money :)

Got myself an orchid yesterday (=3 bottles wine) and its in the bathroom

Contemplating making a pavlova for pudding with rasps from the garden (in freezer) we can do a AF xmas party :)

Waves hello to folks - YM sorry to hear you getting more hassles

............pigtails and a santa hat here!

Sounds yummy fay. Well done you on pampering yourself with orchid. Have a great day. How many have you got coming?

And you YM are something else :rotfl:

Well I have been catching up

It plays havoc if you don't post for a few days you know :D

Anyways here I am again, to be honest I have been soooo very tired. I have been unable to keep my eyes open. Not sleeping etc.

Anyways went to the Doc's on Friday: blood pressure is up again and I have had some sleeping tablets. The Doc wanted to give me anitdepressants but I don't want them, as I tried to explain I feel like I do because of Mr BB's illness.

    So hopefully things will improve?

  • Afternoon all

Bit of an odd day in the Piggy household and I really do feel out of sorts.

Oh's daughter is causing problems. She's on crutches (ones she had already from a previous injury and says she needs them) for a knee injury. Hospital says theres nothing wrong apart from bruising. OH's son said they caught her walking round fine at home when she thought they were all out. So I don't know what she's playing at. Its put a dampner on the weekend as I really have NO time for malingerers (this is the girl who has a day off school every time she has a slight headache!) so I've been quite short with her. I felt very glad when MIL and FIL said they would take kids home early and it would give them a chance to speak to her about it.

But hey ho, never mind! Piglets birthday tomorrow which I'm really looking forward to. Can't wait for him to see his presents.

Eselt - sorry its a rough few days for you. Hope you are ok
Marru - hope you are feeling a bit better?
    Budgie - ((hugs))

    Miss P

  • Still Af free. Taking it a day at a time. Was tempted by the 'Would you like to try some port' woman in M and S but other than that ticking away quite nicely. Just can't work out how to set my christmas pud alight. Don't think I can be trusted with a bottle of brandy!

Hope everyone is having festive fun.

  • Hi PBT

Glad to hear you are still AF :T

    14 please Marru
  • Sat here waiting for 'Miracle on 34th Street' to come on the telly - such as great festive film.

Feeling happy to be AF today - there is a definite correlation between posting/reading this thread and managing to stay AF, so thanks to all for being there.

    xx

Hi all- having a bit of trouble thanking people for some reason ATM- so please don't think I don't appreciate your posts I DO!!!!!

YM- take yourself off to bed immediately, all us girls know manflu is the most serious kind of flu you can get:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Miss Piggy- sounds like OH daughter is seeking attention for some reason, must be difficult to handle when you are so busy anyway, HUGS.

Fay- dinner sounds grand, you seem in much better spirits now all the pressure from decision making has been lifted.

Jo, keep going hun- you're doing a great job- you've recognised the problem and are tackling it- thats where we all need to start, and you have to start somewhere.

Budgie- you take care sweetheart, you know you have plenty of friends here and your posts are so appreciated, you take the time to think about everyone else- maybe take some time to look after yourself over christmas? Hope Mr BB is on the mend too- depression and anxiety is a horrible combination, and takes time to recover from- thank god he has you- he couldn't have a nicer person to be looking out for him.

Love the mince pies Lurks and Jo- I will be going the Jo Mr 'T's route this year I think as I am not a natural born pastry maker and I want something vaguely edible!

Everyone, take care, take it easy and have a great time with friends and family. Looking forward to a shiny new thread, and shiny happy people on it in the new year.

Just ironed the table xmas cloth in the kitchen!! looks ace - :)
