Morning all. I definitely agree that one day at a time works. I've not had a drink since last Friday now which is a first for me. I find I get tempted between 5pm-8pm and after that I'm okay. I get no temptation once I've eaten - must be a connection. Was tempted last night but didn't drink.
Does anyone else get that dread feeling in the morning if they caved the night before? Like a sick fearful depressed disgusted feeling? Bad is it sounds I was thinking very morbid thoughts about my life expectancy (and I have three kids). Like I was a timebomb just waiting for some horrible symptom to rear its head.
Now when I wake up I feel cheerful and optimistic, so it proves that drink isn't really the crutch that bolsters you is it?
Paybacktime, I really related to your post - I was always on the 3 for £10 offers, and if I only kept it to Friday and Saturday I wouldn't have been so bothered! I used to have four day weekends too - Thurs-Sun! Now I am saying that I will drink on weekends meaning Friday and Saturday, but I have to be up and about early on Saturday mornings so really ideally it should just be Saturday night.Wendy x0 -

ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

A woman in her thirties is at home happily jumping unclothed, on her bed and squealing with delight.
Her husband watches her for a while and asks, 'Do you have any idea how ridiculous you look? What's the matter with you?'
The woman continues to bounce on the bed and says, 'I don't care what you think. I just came from having a mammogram and the doctor says that not only am I healthy, but I have the breasts of an 18-year-old.'
The husband replies, 'What did he say about your 42-year old ar$5?'
'Your name never came up,' she replied:wave:
