What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Morning everyone

Remember; just cos you got through the 72hr challenge it does not mean you can drink vodka for breakfast :naughty: :rotfl:

    HB - what a thought UGH.gif

Loving waking up in the morning leasurly after having gone to bed early!!! Remind me of this please when bells are tolling next time. Just tell me to go to bed and get some sleep.

Need to rush now, 5 minutes to get DD ready to school and she is still sleeping

morning all! All that talk about sleep is making me sleepy! Seriously though, since stopping drinking (well after the first couple of weeks) I have slept brilliantly and actually relish going to bed early and then getting up early and not rushing around too much to get things done before heading off to work - feel much more in control. That's 4 AFDs for me please GG.
I had some great news yesterday - have been promoted and got a really nice payrise so am totally chuffed to bits. The other thing I know deep down is that it is definitely linked to my sobriety. Since not drinking I am able to perform much better at work - particularly when there is a crisis or a complex issue to sort out. Being able to be more focussed, think straight, not get stressed out, and be able to advise other people etc is all down to the AFness. A sobering thought indeed!!!
When I was drinking every night I used to come in and just "coast" some days because I felt dehydrated, spaced out, sick, unable to do some quite simple things, just didnt have the energy to be proactive... Blimey. So that's another BIG advantage to giving up (or cutting down for those that can manage that).
Good luck everyone and have a good day.
Sick and tired of waking up sick and tired...
