  • Good morning all. It's a lovely sunny morning here in the City of London, pity I have to work but hey ho needs must. At least in common with some other posters I'm sleeping better, feeling better and I think working better. Angel sorry you are not sleeping, it must be a bit galling when you are doing so well being AF (better than most of us) and you are not sharing in the better sleepng benefits.
    mrsdee congratulations on the promotion.

Signing in to report 72 hour challenge completed successfully and I'm feeling good about a Tipple Free Thursday :D

So that's 3 now please GG.

A belated welcome to kaleoma, it's really good here!

    Morning all,

Not able to post as much as usual but still reading all the time when boss not looking :shhh:

I am feeling great :D 23 days sober and feel like a different person. Sleeping so much better and so look forward to going to bed sober and actually tired rather than drink induced tired iykwim. Dreams aren't quite so vivid, wake up exhausted but love not feeling ill or hazy....could get used to this lark

  • Congrats on the promotion mrsdee :T. Well done

Like Jo I am not posting so much but this is not indigenous to this thread. I am generally trying not to spend too much time on Mse and trying to live a bit in the real world ;)

    So far today I have

    Been shopping
    Got gas and electric
    Hoovered through the house
Got a stew on the go
Hung out a line of washing and will be having lunch soon

Been drinking Green tea and will be AF today as I am on nights.

Nice to hear you sounding positive Jo and also nice to see you doing so well :T

    Take care all

Fantastic - well done Jo :T:T:T:T:T:T:T

I had a crap week last week as School Hols, drank twice as much as I should have done. But so far this week I have stayed under the RDA of 3-4 units :D

Seems like the 'oldies' (long time posters, not age ;)) are spending less time on the thread, like me

    Hope everyone is OK

:hello:Read my sig.... it is me.... not that I noticed any of you actually missed me whilst I was absent...

I haven't been AF BUT.. have been cutting back in a different way this month, thought I would try BHB's method of reduction rather than abstinance as that wasn't working too well for me.. however I do wish to also have some AF days but am not pledging this month... I'm trying a 1 max 2 glasses a day trial.. saves all that tipping it down the sink and then going out to buy some more...!!!!! (and before any smartypants...HB,YM... You know who you are.. mentions pint glasses, its is wine glasses I use....!)

You lot however are all doing brill... :T:T:T

Somehow during the recent update thingy I got lost and however I tried I couldn't get my password changed so have resorted to starting again with a new user name....I also feel I have grown up alot recently so maybe its apt....

Big sis emigration next week, almost can't wait IYKWIM... on the upside I am off to Barcelona for the weekend.. for some chill time...... but its raining so I'll take my brolly... catch ya all later.. big hugs.... T2GU/Puzzcat... xx

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
