PC (can I call you that PuzzCat? :D), I missed you, just can't get online so much, been reading frequently (hourly :D) on my phone but it's such a faff to post a message with my bad signal. You sound like you've turned a corner a bit, new start and all that. Good luck xxx

Hi PC  nice to see you back and good luck with your new plan of moderate drinking....

Well I managed the 72hr challenge, which I am really pleased with as DH kept hinting about getting a bottle of wine and was going to get one but changed his mind (he doesn't really like drinking on his own) but I was chuffed that I resisted and said I wouldn't be having any :p It did help that I was in the bath too, think the bath bit at night is definitely helping...so thats 3 for me now thanks GG...

Am up for tipple free Thursday too...

Jo, well done on your 23 days hun, you are doing sooo well, I really hope you continue to feel so positive :T

Well done on the promotion MrsDee

I am finding though that I am feeling shattered at the moment, I am getting a fair nights sleep but am struggling to get up in the mornings....am I right that this is normal? I thought that having an af free sleep was meant to be much more 'restorative' than a non af one.....I just don't get it

BHB good luck on a better week, now you are back at work

By the way, did anyone watch Loose Women today? they were talking about drinking habits and 3 of them said that they set rules on themselves to avoid drinking too much so that seems to be quite common, the other one was Denise Welch who said she needs a rule to make sure she remembers the rule about not drinking too much when she is out as she forgets it after the first few bevvies :rotfl:

yup! Completely normal. Don't get the science of it personally, but I've read loads of that on here (and experienced it myself)

Hi Puzzcat  and welcome :D - you'll find us a nice bunch (but avoid that time2growup, she's a mentalist  :rotfl:)

Hope we're all well today - it's TFT club time again :D:D

    Hi All

    I'm up for a TFT.

Congratulations on your new job Mrs Dee:T

I didn't see Loose Women 69chick but what you said about Denise Welch doesn't suprise me at all. I've seen lots of pics in magazines of her absolutely legless. I thinks she's had issues to deal with but seeing her like that confirms for me whyI must cut down and stay in control.

BHB, sad that you have to be at work to deal with reduction but whatever it takes eh? Well done on this week so far. Maybe us 'old' posters have started to internalise what we need to do to achieve our goals. If so, that's great isn't it?

Welcome PC, all new and fluffy! Have a great time in Barcelona.

Well done jo, is this your best ever this year??

Waves to fay, YM (you domestic goddess you:p!) and anyone else around. Back later.

When my boyfriend gave up drinking, he complained about feeling worse in the mornings- v tired and 'hung over' - it passed in a few days though. Or maybe you're waking up mid-sleep cycle? that is bad, though I don't think you can do anything about it

Oh, and I have been good all month so far, but there's been no serious tempation so far! I am drinking an unholy amount of tea, but that is due to the cold!

Can't recall doing anything I shouldn't have done after too much tea!

It does get easier with practice...even down to explaining why you don't drink any more....I simply say "bad things happen that aren't funny anymore"....

I can then illustrate with a couple of stories if I so choose...and I almost feel it wasn't really me...

take care everyone.....I do think of you all!

    best wishes

    Bis
