:jWell done chaps for October - I want a big whoop whoop!!! :j

Right you've all to keep up the amazing good work this month - am so proud of those small changes and savings that have meant folks have reduced spending or saved some money or treated themselves a bit kinder this month. Even ONE AFD is awesome as it often leads to ANOTHER - baby steps!!!!! The final scores on the doors are an impressive:

    572 AFD's

and an amazing NOT SPENT ON ALCOHOL GO OFF AND TREAT YOURSELF.........

    :D:D£2261.04:D:D

Fantastic!!!! And thanks for fab scoring, stars, etc etc

GP, great sympathy with Paypal debacle. I note from your sig that you only have 1lb to go before you have lost a whole stone. Well done and keep up the good work.

YM, sounds like you are having a grand time in the metropolis. Enjoy!

fay, that total is amazing especially the money not spent which really brings it home.

I'm up for an AF Monday but won't be on the 72hr challenge this week. Good luck to everyone who's signed up!

Hello everyone, I'm back from a week in sunny Devon. Managed to stay AF, but it was really really hard. We shared a cottage with another family and my friend was drinking every evening. I had an overwhelming desire to help myself to her bottle of wine in the fridge, but I knew one glass wouldn't have been anywhere near enough.

I'm like that. I can keep half a bottle of wine in the fridge and it wouldn't tempt me because I know half a bottle wouldn't be enough for me to drink.

amazing!!! I have treated myself last month to a massage, some great shower smellies, a manicure and pedicure (those were done by myself!) a tennis racket (£25) and put some petrol in the car and took a day of my unhungovered weekend to go and see a friend of mine I havent seen in ages. All excellent "rewards" and being good to myself which I think is critical when you're going through this lifechanging journey.

    :T Well done.

I'm having an AF day today as I need one I think.

125 out of 310 days is 40% I think. So 40% of the year I have been AF. Is that right? That isn't too bad if it is right.:p

  • Hi :hello:
I am hoping to have more AF days in November than drinking days so Glasgow Girl my target this month is 16. I'm kicking off by joining the 72 hour challenge please HB. I wasn't AF yesterday but from today it's full steam ahead :D.
I sort of lost count in October but I know that I did at least 10 days AF which I reckon is worth a very nice treat, I'm thinking a new bag  I don't need it but I want it! The amount we have collectively 'saved' is amazing and we should all treat ourselves. Thank you fay for scoring so beautifully :T
Well done to everyone who achieved their targets and those who didn't this is a brand new month and any days we stay AF give our poor old livers a better chance.
