It's funny and interesting AND it was hearing him read on the radio the bit where he describes how he nearly died from acute pancreatitis that was the final straw for me and drink. I haven't had a drink since that day five and a half months ago:T .
ETA: the book isn't for the easily offended....
How weird, I have just bought that book after hearing it spoken about on the radio and it is brilliant. Touching, warm hearted and very poignant, as well as funny.Sick and tired of waking up sick and tired...

Hello!!!
I went boating about 44 pages ago and am back now. Not home yet but on the dry land. Need to get DD to bed so that I can even attempt to catch up. I did stash some marshmallows in the car so will sneak them in when DD is not looking. Ok I am allowed I have been working locks (112 of them) over last few days and running or cycling from one to another and back.
And did I have good time? I had fantastic time. And I and BF are still lovey dovey after spending a week on narrow boat with 3 dogs and a demanding little moo moo so that is a good sign for our future me thinks..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Welcome back Fay!
Back on here as I've woken up again. Didn't think I'd drunk too much last night but the evidence is against me. I have had a busy week and nursed hangovers through work on both Thursday and Friday so not doing myself any favours there. Thursday was the first day in my life I seriously considered calling in sick due to alcohol.
So, I won't be AF tonight, total is still 7/10 if I can count at this time in the morning.
During November I would like to have moderate drinking days and be sober enough to know what I've had unit wise too.
At least I'm honest about my behaviour on here, it's harder to put my head in the sand about it when I'm typing it in black and white on here.
G'night everyone.0 -
