hello all, would it be ok to join? I realise that i'm drinking way to much (usually 5/6 nights of the week) and feel the need to cut down. Took my blood preasure yesterday and it was a tad high so think my health would benifit from some time off the bottle and a few more trips to the gym

Welcome to the thread, you will get tons of support and advice from all the lovely peeps on here, some are cutting down and some are quitting completely. Good luck for your cutting down adventure, lots of laughs to be had on here, in fact probably the most fun you could have sober :rotfl:

Great to see you posting - a few of us are doing a 'dont drink today' or even don't drink for 72 hours challenge next week have a think about joining us for one of them?

No worries if not - just hang around and enjoy the madness - there are cutter-downers, giver-uppers and those just trying to moderate thier drinking when they do drink!

115K I think that's lovely to buy yourself chocs & flowers - I should take a leaf out of your book; I regard anything like that as "extravagant" & "indulgent" then I skip (well, drive) off to the shop & buy 2 bottles of wine.....:rolleyes: I guess I'll learn one day (?). Will try & buy other things as replacement therapy maybe, to get rid of that "hard-done-by" feeling.

:Tthank you jo..everyone!... 1st night tonight is the easy one,as never drink on a saturday night the irony being i work as a taxi driver until 3 in the morning driving all the drunks home look forward to meeting everyone and giving the old liver a break :rolleyes:
