Evening all, lots of positive posts on here tonight, feeling strong at the moment, hoping for my 2nd af...have just had a stressful time with ds as he has totally messed up his bedroom and is not a happy little boy that I have insisted he tidy up anim_09.gif

anyway have just eaten a chocolate mousse instead of heading out for booze....

40sm Big Big hugs to you, am glad you have found someone in a similar boat to talk to, hopefully that will help, and like others have said you do have lots of virtual friends on here too innocent0005.gif

I really get what yo mean about having no 'head space' that is my biggest thing...when I was younger I used to love music (still do really) but now if I have any time to myself in the car or at home, I love it to be as quiet as possible!! sounds like you could do with some quiet time, do you have anyone else you could share the load a bit with, even someone to babysit for an hour or so for you to get out for a bit of 'me' time...hope things improve hun x

will probably be back for a bit more moral support as I think I am going to struggle tonight!...

Oh and I can't believe those twins got through to the live finals of X-Factor grrr surely they will be out in the first week, or knowing my luck they will be like some others have been and end up with loads of support from somewhere!! I dread to think what Simon is going to say about them as well, as he made it clear he can't stand them!!!

(sorry to bore all the non x-factor peeps, glad to see Budgie is a fellow x-factor fan though)

  • Right, caught up now. Hello to newbies  I'm still one myself really!

I have decided I'm not drinking tonight now. Bottle has gone back on the wine rack for now and OH can drink it if he wants. Recently when I've given in and had a glass the guilt kicks in straight after I've drank it and I wish I hadn't bothered, so tonight I'm not. That's my 2nd AF day for me please.:j

40sm, hope you can feel better soon, you must be under some awful pressure.

honeybear I thought alcohol doesn't freeze? I'll have to give the wine thing a go, sounds like a good idea!
  • Didn't go to work today. Got DH to come from work to take the boys to school. Am sat here in my pjs. I should be finishing work that should have done yesterday but cannot seem to get round to it. I think I may be depressed.

    40SM

Hope you feel better and things work out for you 40SM.
    Hello everyone

Really feel for you 40SM and hope you start to feel better soon. Not much Krap at saying the right things as regards these sort of emotions just like you to know I am thinking of you hug8ok.gif

Hope everyone in my favorite gang on the t'internet is doing OK.

The only way I will watch X- Factor is when them god awful twins are voted off. Ruined it for me this year and will only watch again when they have gone. Being tight and a good DFW wont phone to vote as it costs too much ;)

Cant make AF Monday today but hope you all do really well and Fay can shower you all with stars

X Factor twins do my head in too and i will not be watching again now until the final one - just to see who wins, it does my head in they drag it out far tooooo much to 2 shows could have been fitted into one.

Just been pointed here by a very helpful person, so -
Can I please join you? I have now got to the point where I have to cut back on it, as the 5 bottles of wine a week can't be afforded. So, I have set a goal - 2 bottles of wine a week, which I will consume at the weekend. I will buy it on a Friday and then wont be tempted by it. I have the problem that if it is there, in the house, I will drink it. So here's to my first week of cutting back, and saving money at the same time. xx

Welcome SCBYE I'm new here to, we shall do it together....

I would also like to report a AF day, today my other half is drinking but i shall not, not today :j

Oh help! I someone can back me up on this one!

It works for me & adds to the flavour of stuff. Maybe the alcohol evaporates in the process making it an even more AF meal? :D

  • Ok slopes in a bit touch and go from earlier - fakeplastictwee - well done my lovely

wooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooo such strength - wine freezes fine (I should know how many bottles have I accidentally 'chilled' a bit too far and they've ended up popping out the top - oddly they don't seem to lose their alcohol content (unless you cook with them) when you cook with it the alcohol 'burns' off - so any meal with wine is AF if its cooked for a bit

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO touch and go for me tonight as well - JO thank you for sending over cotton wool :)

In PJS and infront of the fire :)

Rolls up sleeves to dish out a shower of stars :) give me two ticks - my star arm is just gearing up.........................

PS who are the bluddy tiwns? I gather its something to do with z-factor or somat
