Thanks Fay, you're right I guess, I just think I set my target too low and should be trying to achieve more! But that's the target I've set and I'll stick to it this month and see how I go. 10 days this month will be a lot more than I've managed in the last couple of years.

My problem now this evening is that there's half a bottle of wine left from last night. It's sat right in front of me staring at me, and half of my brain is saying "DON'T DO IT!!!!" and the other half is saying "You've already spent the money, why waste it by throwing it away", and if I leave it where it is I'll only end up having it tomorrow instead...

I suppose if my OH haves a glass I'll only really get one out of it. Plus I have managed to have a NSD today instead. :)

Gonna go catch up and read back a few pages!

Earlier last year someone said to me when I said but the money saving the money saving (I think it was Bismark one of the wiser ones on the thread :))

Pouring it down the sink or p*ssing down the loo - what's the difference?

You'll feel better if you pour it down the sink (maybe a step too far:eek:??)

The money is already spent - if you feel brave - shove it in the freezer in a plastic bottle it will keep til an alcohol friendly day :rotfl:

PS sorry not being the alcohol police - just trying to be sort of um helpful? I know about the calling wine, I have huge massive ding dong alcohol bells at the moment
    - so hugs hunny!!!

If you want to be strong - stash it in the freezer.
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:

I'm aboard for the AF Monday!

A fleeting thought about a glass of wine - pushed it away by thinking 'No it's Monday and I'm not drinking today' On the Basics OJ and off to get my curry leftovers for tea

My problem now this evening is that there's half a bottle of wine left from last night.

I sometimes make ice-cubes out of what I have left over then use them for cooking rather than buying a bottle "for cooking" & then drinking most of it.

As they say every little helps ;)

toby3000 I will put you down for25 days and well done on the 4 AFD's already do you want to add in your average spend figure and I can save that for you if you like (virtually not in real life :)) and I see you are trying to make £5 a day - if you saved the AF money I bet that would help towards that !! Anyway here's your first 4 stars ****

Thank you for my Stars! I feel so special!

I have no idea about spend, unfortunately... going out I spend maybe £40-50, so I might try and keep a tally of money not spent when out!

:hello:Evening everyone I hope you all had a good weekend (and if you didn't that you have recovered now;))
I didn't have an AF Sunday but I could easily have done, I feel so cross with myself:mad:. It got to about 10pm and I hadn't had a drink; my OH had been drinking my favourite Fleury all evening and had 'conked out' snoring on the sofa leaving about a quarter bottle of wine. Did I find a stopper for the wine? no I did not I found a glass instead and finished off the wine. Ah well that's much better than my usual adventures with my favourine Cote Du Rhone.
I am joining in with AF Monday and as I type I'm sipping my tea. Don't put me down as AF yet fay 'there's many a slip..) I'll post tomorrow if I managed it.
Welcome to all the newbies (I feel like an old timer now!)
