Everyone on here has an email address, the office back room whatever, have frankies email. This can then be traced to a server and register?

I dunno if it can be traced to a server/register. BUT most people have an internet trail so her email addy being googled may lead us towards other profiles, or not. Again, not us of course.

Should we email the abuse email address maybe? I don't know what we can do

i might look again through her posts when i get home and see if i can find other stuff to help us trace her

right - I dunno if it will help - but most people use their username in email addy - so i sent email to frankiegirl@ then tried popular ones aol - yahoo - hotmail - and yay - one of them hasnt been returned . now we hope its right frankiegirl. didnt mention subject of post - just said we all concerned and could she just either post or email me back. fingers crossed peeps XXXX

kimberley - I think most of us are aware it could be wind-up, but until we know for certain I for one will treat it as genuine. in meantime will do all I can to make contact. and if it is a wind-up and we find that out - then the person still needs help i think.

whether there is any element of a wind up here or not, it is an odd first post...

May be 100% kosher, but I am not sure we can rely on someone who has only ever posted here once to have contacted the 'help desk' about an issue which is worrying people - does anyone know what the 'help desk' is?

If people are concerned, I think we should act and ignore that post, as we cannot know if its genuine.. I think emailing the abuse team or a board guide may be the best way to make contact with the website team and see if they can contact frankiegirl directly... does someone want to do that?

I agree that it does seem a bit odd. However, suicidal people have posted on MSE in the past and the team have been alerted and done what they could. Which in a case I know about was quite a lot.
