I have 6 kiwi fruits I got on yellow sticker, they are ripe NOW but I don't think I'll get through 6 in the next 2 days, OH isn't keen on them plain but will probs eat them in something.

    Any ideas?

    Hi funkymonkey,

There's an earlier thread with lots more ideas for using up kiwi fruit so I've merged the threads to keep the suggestions together.

    The muffins lol sorry
  • The muffins lol sorry

    heres the one I use

    2 cups flour
2 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
2 1/2 teaspoons of custard powder
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup milk
    1 egg -lightly beaten
    100g melted butter
3 kiwifruit - peeled and diced up

heat the oven to 200 degree Celcius -not sure what that is in gas but around 7 maybe but please check :D

Put the sugar, sifted flour, baking powder and custard powder in a bowl.
Combine the egg, milk and melted butter. Add the liquid ingrediants plus the diced kiwifruit to the dry ingrediants and combine quickly until its just wet.

Spoon mix into muffin pan. Bake for about 15 - 20 mins or until you can put a skewer in the middle and it comes out clean. You should get about 8-10 muffins with this recipe.

    Hope you enjoy them

I got a bag of very ripe kiwis yesterday for £1.
Any suggestions how to use them up?
    Not jam or smoothies.
    Thanks

Mush them up and leave them festering until next Saturday and use them to make a "Mashed Brain Puss Lucky Dip" for guisers?
