A market friend gave me a box of kiwis that we aren't eating fast enough!
I hate to see the go to waste - anyone have any ideas how I can use them up? I will probably try kiwi muffins, also found a recipe for kiwi salsa(!) Not sure how that will go down but worth a try. I have a deep freeze, has anyone frozen them and used them later in cakes etc?No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0 -

They are delicious dehydrated. If you don't have a dehydrator you can dehydrate them in the oven or on a sunny day, outside. Google will give lots of links if you run a search for solar or oven dehydrating.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Hello
Check out http://www.kiwicovelodge.com/kiwi_vineyard/kiwi_recipes.htm there are loads of recipes on there, I keep meaning to try the kiwi muffins but never get round to it before either the kiwis get eaten as they are or go manky!
There's sweet and savoury recipes so hopefully there'll be something you like, the ingredient measurements are in cups (American style) but you can easily convert to grams/ounces using a site like this - http://allrecipes.com/HowTo/cup-to-gram-conversions/detail.aspx
Hope that helps, let us know if you make something scrummy!Pax Et Bonum0 -
