You can puree them up and freeze in small portions - I use as a topping for icecream, yoghurt or put a frozen cube in a glass and top up with lemonade or ginger ale for a yummy drink.
  • 9 kiwi peeled
    6 cups granulated sugar
    6oz liquid pectin

    wash and sterilise the jars
    peel and crush kiwis
    combine crushed kiwi and sugar
    stir well
bring mix to a rolling boil over a high heat (stir constantly)
    stir in liquid pectin
return to rolling boil (keep stirring)
    boil for 1 more minute
    remove from heat
    skim foam from top
fill sterilised jars to within 1/4 of top
    wipe jar rims
    cover jars with lids

makes about 6 cups of jam

May be you could give a few to the birds they love it especially the blackbirds, just as a treat.
  • This recipe looks easy. Give me a shout if you want a translation ;)

Puree and freeze as little lollipops; delicious. Although you might want to strain the pips out.

You could mash them roughly with a little cava or lemon juice and spoon over a cheesecake ;) Pinched the idea off the telly - they used raspberries and cava but I bet kiwis would work beautifully :)
