All the recipes I find have bicarb in them and I don't have any. Any suggestions or other recipes?

I have a punnet of kiwis (about 6) and the only person in my house who eats them (DD1) has gone to her dad's, so I'm left with them and they'll be off by the time she gets back.

What can I do with them - make a pudding but with them disguised as no-one else really likes them.

    Thanks

If you have a blender and some other fruit you can blitz them into a smoothie. I did this yesterday. I added mango to two kiwis and slurped in a bit of fruit juice and it was fab! You could also put them in milk and blitz for a kiwi milk shake. Or you can peel and slice, put it plastic bags in the freezer and have defrosted with icecream or milkshake or smoothie when the person who likes them comes back.

    Hi Annie,

There's an older thread that should help so I've merged your thread with it to keep all the suggestions together.

I found this recipe, which includes kiwi fruit and lime juice, if thats any helpKiwi fruit Jam 1 large red apple diced5 kiwi's diced3/4 cup sugar2 tbsp lime juiceCook all ingredients in the microwave for 10 minutes on high, removing and giving it a little stir every 2-3 minutes. Pour mixture from the microwave safe bowl into a blender and pulse till solid parts are less chunky. (It really depends on how you want your jam; thick? liquid puree?) Follow your instincts. Keeping in mind that the jam will thicken after it cools down. Pour the blended mixture back into the microwave bowl and cook for another 2 minutes. Leave it to cool before storing it in a jar.

My poor Mum has managed to fracture her hip and is in hospital. She has a houseful of perishable food, most of which I have frozen or eaten but I don't know what to do with all the bloomin' kiwi fruit she had. She doesn't want any and they are getting a bit overripe!

I really don't want to waste it - can I cook anything with it which I could then freeze?

Thanks in anticipation of scrummy recipes!
