You can't make jelly with them. Have tried and it won't set!!

Have you seen the baby kiwis where you can eat the skin? Saw them in Waitrose (I think)
They remind me a bit of kumquats, a little larger.0 -
Yeah, it can be a bit furry but its the way i grew up. All my friends ate them this way too. The funny bit is that they ALWAYS give my tongue pins'n'needles which is a laugh!
I have some recipies i will post in the mega index and then link back to here. They are; Kiwifruit Chutney, Kiwifruit Jam and Kiwifruit Marinade.

Oooo Kiwichick, I like the sound of the chutney and the jam! Just one question, having never made jam before in my entire life, what is the difference between a preserving pan and an ordinary stainless steel saucepan? Could I use a Le Crueset pot instead?0

I have no idea!!!! My mum just used to make it all in the same saucepan as we boiled pasta in.WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0

Preserving pans are large, wide and have a lip for when pouring. I used to use a pressure cooker without the lid before I got my 'jam-pan' as that was the largest saucepan I had. I still find it easier to use a soup ladle rather than pour the preserve into jars.0

Hi everyone,
I have rather a lot of kiwi fruit at the moment and wondered if I could use them in a crumble or something like that?Any ideas gratefully received.
BTW, I have searched the index but only found jam and marmalade which sounds lovely, but I haven't got any jars at the moment.
Thanks,

I've squidged them up and frozen them as ice lollies before - they were yummy0

I wouldn't try cooking them Sharra (unless you make jam),I think they'll go an unappetising colour, but I may be wrong.
I'd make a pavlova with them-large meringue, loads of cream and pile on the kiwis. You could use bought individual meringues too and thick yogurt instead of cream,or a mixture of cream and yogurt.
Or cut them up with other fruit like strawberries, oranges, bananas and make a fruit salad or thread on kebab sticks.
Or fruit smoothies-banana,kiwi and some yogurt, plus a bit of honey and some orange juice.
One thing I don't recommend is jelly.Kiwis have an enzyme in them which breaks down protein and stops gelatine from setting.Fresh pineapple is the same.;)0
