Well he was talking rubbish too and you were using studying law to give you some authority. Hope you have a nice day and don't try and show off to much, someone could have believed you.

First - can we all please be nice to all money savers - I really would prefer not to have to close this thread because people can't act like adults...

Second - you can film people for evidence - what becomes a VERY grey area is if you film people with a CCTV camera - you cannot point a CCTV cam onto anyone elses property without their specific permission. So... you could hold the camcorder and film whatever they are doing and that would in principle be ok (provided you were obviously doing it to gather evidence and not to film them doing private things) but you cannot put up a camera and aim it at their property in the hope of catching them doing something - that WOULD count as invasion of privacy.

I didn't come on to this thread for an arguement or be spoken to as I have, I came on here to offer an opinion, and hope that my explaining MY CIRCUMSTANCES, might help someone.

We are suppose to be grown up adults, who are entitled to an opinion, and I was trying to help. So please do not have a go at me.

Its absolutely infurating, we were the subject of some extremely sick pratices from our previous neighbours, basically if the police had of done something earlier, it was like playing table tennis, between the police bouncing it to the housing assosiation, then the HA bouncing it back to the police.

Had one of the cases gone to court, I was studying law at the time, so was able to do some extra research... the one offence was that bad it would of been a 15yr jail term, vunerable unit... that was without the rest.

We got carped on by the HA, kept diaries, contacted the police, did it by the book, and the HA said were going for a prison sentence, great justice will be done.... they got the eviction and dropped the remaining cases!!

Anyone can film anyone on public land or highway. People can have CCTV and if they are pointing on the public highway there is nothing you can do. If an organisation does it they need warning signs. The only thing you can not do is film someone on land you don't have permission for. i.e. film your neighbour in their garden without their say so.
However to be honest if you start filming someone doing something they shouldn't its a good chance they are going to turn on you or come back later and attack your house.
As regards for the above to be honest its easier cheaper and better for these HA to evict these people because a prosecution can be long and drawn out as well as expensive and can blow up in their face. So its better just to go down the legal eviction route.
