  • How awful. Please do update this thread as and when you find out anything else. I would be very curious to know the outcome.

What I would do is get a "log number" from the RSPCA (all cases like this are assigned log numbers and you should get told what this is if you ask for it), when you have the "log number" (also referred to as a TAILS number) then you should contact the police again with the number and explain you would like them to come out again and investigate further in addition to the RSPCA (also maybe say you fear for your safety or those of the RSPCA inspector that gets sent out to investigate this) - as with anything in life these days, if you throw log numbers, etc. at people and keep pestering, you're likely to get further.

    Good luck.

I agree. Every organisation has useless people working for them for one reason and another so its worth phoning up again and again till you speak to someone who can help. Its always worth asking to speak to a manager as often they have the skills and experience to help you.
  • I am angry beyond words. Some people are sick & twisted, just pure evil.

To the OP - Has the dogs owner been informed of this yet??
  • supersaver she doesn't know who the dogs owner was.

I know it was a good suggestion re filming them, but it could backfire, as you'd be invading their human rights....and you could end up in trouble with the police.

Its absolutely infurating, we were the subject of some extremely sick pratices from our previous neighbours, basically if the police had of done something earlier, it was like playing table tennis, between the police bouncing it to the housing assosiation, then the HA bouncing it back to the police.

Had one of the cases gone to court, I was studying law at the time, so was able to do some extra research... the one offence was that bad it would of been a 15yr jail term, vunerable unit... that was without the rest.

We got carped on by the HA, kept diaries, contacted the police, did it by the book, and the HA said were going for a prison sentence, great justice will be done.... they got the eviction and dropped the remaining cases!!

Rubbish - filming or photographing someone for evidence is legal. No human rights issue or data issue there. http://www.sirimo.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/ukphotographersrights-v2.pdf written by Linda Macpherson LL.B, Dip.L.P., LL.M, lecturer in law at Heriot Watt University. If you studied the law you missed a bit.

If you had read my post correctly, my commnet in relation to studying law was regardinfg the prison sentence my neighhbours should of got.

The info regarding filming was what I wastold by a police officer whilst I was giving a statement.

Hope you have a nice day and dont jump down too may peoples throats!

If you are going to film them if it does happen ever agin (fingers crossed it doesn't)

I would watch out, if they see you filming them, and they are known criminals, you could have some trouble on your hands for being a "grass"

Hopefully the RSPCA do something though, police are generally known for being rubbish :/
  • Sorry you had to witness something like that. I know it's upsetting when dogs fight (I have 3, and they have a barney every now and again), but for people to turn on one of the dogs for whatever reason is just pathetic.
