this is terrible & what an awful thing to witness, although it may be for the best that you did see it otherwise they might have got away with it, the fact the police havn't even responded yet comes as no surprise, i really hope these scumbags get what they deserve. i really feel for you & your situation as you have to live with them as neighbours (sounds like you live somewhere similar to me). i hope that justice is done for the poor poor dog, please keep us updated x'there goes an old transexual, last seen heading south,
her friends call her Bernie but her real name is Ralph'

Thank you all for the support and advice. I have not heard back from the police but the RSPCA has contacted me for more info etc so i think they will def do some thing about it. I will keep you updated.
I am still really shaken and cant get the memory out of my head of that poor dog.. I am so angry now but those "people" if you can call them that are a law in theirselves. I believe in what goes around comes around and i hope in their case it does. :mad:Member of Thrifty Gifty ~ Making money for Christmas 2010:£2 Savers club member no 40 ~ £54Amazon Vouchers BingoPort ~ £10Dooyoo Challenge Jan ~ £24.07 / £20.00 Yippee over target :j0 -
You should also tell the council dog/animal warden, as it is their responsibility to 'police' the animals in their area....
Have you thought about getting the local press involved? Pets are a very emotive issue and someone may be missing that poor creature. You could formmissing pets, especially if the body turns up....
Next time, film them!!!!0 -

And I am sure the kind of people who strangle a dog would not react at all to being filmed?0 -
It's a pity you don't know their names. The police might have reacted if they are a 'known' family. Thats no excuse for not coming out though.
How are you feeling today? Really feel for you having to witness something like that. xJust to win anything would be great!!0 -
Thats awful - they sound like the animals.
Do all you can to get these people done - dont worry about their reputation, just keep it anonymous and get them done!0 -

Thank you. Feel sad today and very angry. We did tell the local police when we phoned where they live and that the police are at their house daily so they knew who they were when we phoned. A neighbour said the police did turn up yesterday (i think it must of been when i went to collect my children from school) but were only there a couple minutes max  So the police dont look like they are doing anything so i really hope the RSPCA take action.Thats awful - they sound like the animals.

That's a rotten thing to happen. Understandably you feel shocked and upset and helpless. Could you send a small donation to, say, the RSPCA or the Dogs Trust in memory of the dog ? It might make you feel a bit better, and the dog won't have died in vain..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -

I don't think you will find out anything from the RSPCA until the case is closed in around 4 weeks. They normally let you know the outcome. They won't do anything in any event if they cannot find the body.
This is absolutely awful, and made me feel sick in the stomach yesterday when I read your thread.
You must be feeling terrible to have seen it. Keep looking at my dog, and thinking what if someone did that to him:mad:0
